“Come on. This will make you feel,” Ariel insisted, dragging me out of the palace. I wasn’t fully recovered, but I guess this was better than staying in bed and feeling sorry for myself.

My mark was still healing, but at least with the cream I applied to it. It doesn’t sting anymore. I pulled on a black sweater over my white floral dress with some flat slippers she made me wear.
