I drive Kate and me back to the house. She seems happier for some reason. She sings and talks as we ride along the road. She talks about how simple she wants our wedding and that maybe later we could have a big wedding. The wolves stopped; that could be the reason. I know all of this is hard on her. We need answers, and we need them fast before she turns into someone else. I wonder if this is what happened to Thomas. I wonder who her birth father is if it is not Thomas. It is as if the wolves are pulling her in two different directions. None of it makes sense. Why did all of this happen all of a sudden?
