Ruben was not just my twin. He was a part of me. When he decided to jump out of the window, he decided to leave me behind.

I took a look into the mirror. Instead of my red eyes and puffy cheeks, I saw Ruben there- standing after a long time. He was always in bed. I could not remember the last time I saw him standing.

Yet, he had enough strength to walk to the window and jump out.

I did not believe anyone threw him through the window. It was not like I did not think our family members could not do it. They certainly could, but why would they do it? They did not have any reason to kill someone who never posed as a threat. Ruben had been sickly and bed-ridden. He could not stand for more than a minute without his knees buckling beneath him.
