[ IN WHICH SHE GETS A PLOT TWIST ]

The King who is sat in front of me speaks. “This is your second life, Faye Donovan. And your first,” he says as his green eyes darken with anger. “It ended because Sin drove his glowing sword through your heart. Right in his throne room. With me right behind you.” Rome's green eyes nearly glisten with tears. Anyone can tell that saying those words out loud hurts him more than anything else.
