It's been a few days since Lizzy's funeral, Preston has been all anyone is talking about recently. You would think they would be more interested in the fact that everyone thought he was dead, but then suddenly appeared at his mates funeral but no. According to Erik all they could talk about was him confessing to killing Matilda, most people didn't even know that they had another child, they all assumed it was only Gray.
Talking of Gray he's been so stressed out, if you remember back when Rupert attacked the castle, the officials blamed Daisy for enabling the attack. They're full force going at Daisy due to Rupert not being around anymore, they still want to hold someone accountable and Daisy's the only one they can. Her trials set for tomorrow, they wanted to get her trial out of the way before Preston's much harder trial comes along. Today was the day of Daisy's trial, I've been kept out of the loop with Daisy due to Preston, so I really wasn't sure how this was going to go. After a little run around outside, I walk back into court extremely calm and collected. Gray and I shifted and ran through the surrounding woods, it felt so good to finally feel like me again and another great thing! Erik and I sat in the room for a while, at first all we could hear was the commotion outside with Gray but now, it was weirdly quiet. I arrive home in no time, I head straight to the bedroom where I lock the door behind me. I needed to be left alone for a while to try and process what just happened, if that was even remotely possible to do. I begin to pace the room, I was trying to come up with an explanation but I found none! Why would Erik do something like that? It was the next morning, the day of Preston's trial. I thought going into this I would be more nervous, but I actually wasn't. As we enter the courthouse I see all the guards.... well guarding, I probably haven't seen this amount of guards in one place ever! And I have seen a lot of them. After Cyrus spoke the court took a break, I think everyone needed some time to try and take in everything that was just said.
