“I ordered a whole turkey last night. We can reheat it in the microwave, cous,” Katy reminds me about it when she grabs some plastic-wrapped grapes in the fruit section.

While I push our nearly full cart, Katy puts it and grabs a red wine. Nevertheless, I held her hand and put it again where it was placed. She looks perplexed.

“Why?” an immediate question comes from her.

“Hardurlf has plenty of wine. He can give us,” I replied, assuring she would not punch it on our grocery bill. Katy’s brows meet at the middle of her creasing forehead. She sighs profoundly and shrugs her shoulders without any choice.

“But, what exactly is Hardurlf to you, cous?”

My lips turn parched when she throws that question. I clear my throat while trying to read what’s on this canned good label. Katy set the can aside, and her question leaves my mouth hanging for a tight answer.

“W-What do you mean?” I stutter, and she feels like teasing me to the bones.
