8: Red Handed

“What’s wrong? Is there something on my face?” Tyler rubbed his face roughly. 

I shook my head for a moment, then took a sip of my coffee which started to get cold. 

You’ve been looking glum ever since I asked you what you meant earlier.” 

“I don’t feel that way.” 

I became more awkward than before. The conversation between us formed into a stiff and awkward one. I worried if Tyler knew the worst secret that I wanted to hide deeply. Tyler looked at me in a suspicious glances, I couldn’t hold it. I stretched my legs and stood up. 

“The park is getting crowded, are you going to sit here until the sun goes up?” I asked. 

Tyler cringed. “I have no problem doing it with you, Lilith.” 

“I’m afraid I’m won’t to do that with you.” I tried so hard not to let my heartbeat ruin the atmosphere when I said that.
