Introduction/Chapter 1
AUTHOR'S NOTE
The Last Days At Reekfield's is a highschool romance/action/adventure series. It has six books in it. My aim of writing this series is to enable my readers experience their highschool days from a different angle; be it bad, average, good or what have you, and as you read, remember to indicate your predictions for the second book in the series in the comments/ratings section. The Last Days At Reekfield's is a series that is completely incomparable, given the perfect blend of love with studies, mysteries - which must be unfolded - and adventures.Chapter One
It was a chilly winter morning. Juliet grumbled as her best friend shook her violently."Hey, get up! We are going to be late for school if you spend another minute in that bed." Jane's voice came to her.That instant, Juliet sprung out of her bed and stared at her friend lazily."Hey! What the hell were you saying just now?" She asked. It took her a few moments to remember that she was back from the holidays, and as a matter of fact, she was in the first term of her last year at Reekfield college! She was now a senior student, and could do as she pleased."Hey! What are you thinking about?" Her friend asked her. "We are already late. The senior boarding house mistress will be here at any moment.""Girl, I am so excited to be a senior student! It feels great." Juliet said dreamily."It will be most exciting when the senior boarding house mistress gets here." Jane said and hurried towards their shared bathroom which was several metres away.Juliet quickly got out of her reverie. There was still old Mrs Lara to be afraid of. She knew better, what the old woman would do to her if she caught her in the dormitory at the wrong time. She would most probably, be given a heap of shoes to mend and clothes to stitch. She slipped out of her pyjamas and quickly grabbed her tooth brush, hurriedly heading for the bathroom."Juliet! You should have witnessed my aunt's wedding. You lied and never showed up. I kept expecting you till the sun kissed the sea." Jane said, splashing the bath water. She was in the bath already. Except, for her head, her whole body was buried in it. She was very pretty, with a slim body and an innocent pair of eyes."Argh... The wedding?" Juliet said absently as she looked around for her toothpaste. She only continued after she had found it. "I think we settled that over the phone? My parents refused to let me travel out of the country. There was little I could do." Janet hissed, washing her body."I know, but I can't help feeling sad whenever I think about it. I need you to also testify when I bring up the topic in the class later today. Rose, especially, will try to counter my words." She said."Rose? I will handle her. Be rest assured. And don't forget that I watched the video." She said.Related chapters

"Oh.. Very true." Jane said. Just then, their alarm clock started ringing. It was seven thirty! The two stared at each other. The senior boarding house mistress would come to the dormitory in no time. Juliet quickly packed her hair into a ponytail and wore her shower cap. Soon, water started gushing out of the shower which hung just above her. She hurriedly washed up and soon, she was done. When she threw a glance at the direction of the bath, her best friend was no longer there."Oh!" She exclaimed, hurriedly mopping her body with her towel. She had to escape the senior boarding mistress at all costs. "Hey, let's get going." Jane said as Juliet walked into their room."You witch! I will deal with you. You dare not leave that door without me." Her friend swore.Jane laughed heartily. You were dreaming of who? Phillip? Jack? Jake? Jimmy? Which of them?" She asked, laughing."Look at you! Janet fought hard not to laugh. Her best friend never failed; it was certain. Old Mrs Lara stared at the two carefully. They could not be acting. They were both of reputable behaviour and all excellent students. She smiled kindly and dipped her hand into her handbag. Soon, she produced a card of drug with black coloured tablets."Take it, my dear. I am very sorry. I bought it for my grandchild, but it's not her period yet. You can as well, have it." She said, reaching out for Juliet's palm."Oh no, old Mrs Lara. It is fine. I took some drugs. My friend is very thoughtful. Right now, I am craving for a bite." Juliet said in a pained voice."Argh, daughter. It is alright. Have it, just incase of next time. And if you don't meet breakfast, come back and meet me. I will personally send you with a note to the kitchen department." Old Mrs Lara said, forcing the card of drug into Juliet's clenched fist."Thank you so much, old Mrs Lara." Juliet said, her hand still on her stomach."Go now,

"Oh, he has greatly recovered. He pledged to come for my visit mid winter." Juliet supplied."Wow... I can't wait to see him! I will be most excited." Jane said.While Juliet was always in the UK and rarely flew out, Jane was the near composite. She was based in the UK, but she always preferred to fly out during the holidays in between the school terms. She was a bit wild. Their parents both, were all super rich, and it is an entirely different story, if you are wondering how they first encountered and how their friendship kicked off.Presently, it was their turn. The two friends greeted the cooks politely and bowed low as they were taught to do on receiving their food, after which they proceeded to one of the free tables with two chairs that faced each other."What a waste! "Hey, you heard my bestie's question. What do you want? We don't need you here." Juliet said quickly."Fine... I want you... Let's be honest here. I want you." Jimmy said."You want me?" "Good morning beautiful students of Reekfield college." She spoke into the microphone.The thunderous reply form the students filled the hall. The freshers' voice stood out."You are all welcomed from the short holiday, and I am both elated and sorry to inform you of the sudden changes made at the board, resulting to me, emerging as the new President of the college. My predecessor, Mr Johnson Duke was needless to say, a hard-working man. I will follow his steps and leave the same legacy for my successor. Whatever good thing it is, that Mr Duke had done for the college in the past, be expecting it back in two folds. I don't joke with my words. I will deliver. And this is specifically for the last year students; I want Reekfield to claim all the top spots in this year's national colleges academic awards. For each price won, I am going to give out a cash prize of ten thousand pounds from my own personal funds. I want to hand out as much as half a million pounds. Let me see if you student

"You!" Juliet cursed on opening her eyes."Juliet. You need to be careful while walking, next time." "I will deal with you, Jimmy. How dare you?" See, I need you to tell me the truth. Why are you hiding it? I used to sleep walk until we got to form three. I was ashamed of it, but every single girl in our form knew of it." "Feel jealous? Or worried? Why do you ask so?" She asked, narrowing her eyes."Concerning the drama which you just watched and partook in. Do I need to prop your heart into thinking that I am a commodity that is in high demand?" Jimmy asked shamelessly."And do I need to prop your heart into realising that a commodity in high demand is one which could be cheaply afforded? And most of such commodities, the aftermath is stomachaches." Juliet said."I never knew that you were this mischievous." Jimmy said in a hurt tone."You are a playboy, Jimmy. You played two girls. Even our head." She said, rummaging through her bag for something."I still suffer from loss of memory. That is the fact. Why do you think that some terms, the gap I leave between me and Jim do exceed fifteen points?" He asked rhetorically. Juliet stared at his handsome face closely.
