Chapter 15

The man's face turned red. I could tell that he could no longer hold his temper. He gave me a full-strength blow that landed on my stomach. I felt like my body was thrown up by the force he has exerted. My heart rate suddenly increased and there's a bitter taste in my mouth, so I spat it out. I felt like the air has left my body and so I'm like sucking for breath.

"Wow! So this is how it feels to become an ordinary woman?" 

I cherished down inside while recognizing the pain. On the other hand, I can't help to feel mercy for every battered woman. I sympathize with all those who can't protect themselves. 

The man was not contented so he followed it with a head-turning slap on my right cheek. It was hard and forceful. I got off-balanced making me fall to the cemented ground.
