Chapter One Hundred and Fifteen

Kellan’s POV

“You can’t be gone for too long,” I told Kaida.

“I know that already,” she responded, rolling her eyes.

Left to me, I would have had her remain in the mansion all day, every day. She insisted on going shopping with the maids and pleaded with me not to say no.

Ever since she told me what had been between her and Alpha Luca, I had been more careful and watchful. She didn’t know Alpha Luca like Beta Tobias and I did.

“Is there anything you want me to get for you on my way back?”

“No,” I replied. There was nothing I could think of for now, and if I recalled after she left, one of the guards would get it for me.

I watched her leave the room. It felt as though my eyes were glued to her body, and it was impossible to take them off her while she was still in sight.

Guards would accompany her and the maids, so I had nothing to worry about. Alpha Luca and his men would not be able to get to her easily. I was certain of that.
