I gave Axel a look that was almost a smile. "Upset to see me alive? You've already started looking for someone new."

"That's not true, Anna! I had to do it!

"They said they'd hurt me if I didn't give you up! You wouldn't want to see those guys hurt me, right?"

I laughed calmly. "Of course not. I'd like to be the one hurting you instead!"

Axel's face turned pale in a flash, and he quickly sent the girl next to him away.

When he faced me again, his expression turned stormy, and he glared at me with fury. "Even though I have no idea how you got back, do you really think a nobody like you can take me on? That's just ridiculous!" Axel eyed me with a mean glint. "You're worth so much. I could sell you once, and I can do it again!

"If you dare to spread this, just you wait for what I'll do!"
