"Who could have informed Ramon that I was coming for him?" Hrolf thought as he paced his room.He paused, racking his brain, trying to come up with an answer to the question he had racked his brain over and over again. Hrolf stared at the guard's body laid over the slab in his morgue. His hands vibrated with anger because although he had run after the figure he saw, he couldn't catch up with it.A myriad of emotions swept through him. Why were strange things happening in his Pack? He was confused."Alpha, everyone is gathered." A guard walked in to inform him."I will be there soon." Ramon frowned slightly because he knew why Cassie had that look on her face. She was the culprit. But he wasn't going to let her take the fall. Instead, he was ready to do so for her. Memories of their time spent together ran through his mind and he shook his head to wipe them away. Hrolf turned his gaze from Ramon to Cassie wondering what they were doing. Did they have a secret way of communicating with them? He wondered but he smiled when he recalled their past.He walked in large strides toward his chair at the head of the table."Cassie," He called."Yes, Alpha," "Did you find anything of interest while you were at the stable?" Ramon threw a glance at Cassie as he was being dragged away. This wasn't what he was expecting but he was being punished for what he knew nothing about.Hrolf's voice rang through his mind and he wondered if defending Cassie was worth it. He took a last glance at Cassie as the door was shut against his face."This isn't right, you don't even have proof against him," Cassie pointed out. Hrolf pulled open the door to the prison and stepped in. His heart hitched when he saw the guards lying down. "Are they dead?" Erik questioned. He bent down, placed a finger on their neck, and exhaled sharply. "They are not dead," he said to Hrolf. Hrolf stood at a corner of the room glancing at the prison. He needed an explanation about what had happened here. Ramon had an accomplice and he needed to fish that person out immediately. "Cassie" Erik muttered. Hrolf had heard the guard mention Cassie's name before going unconscious so he had thought she had something to do with all of these but it seemed he was wrong."You should go," Ashina said. She had been watching him since Erik broke the news about Cassie being drugged and she had seen different emotions course through his face in less than a minute.
