After that searing pain, there was a calmness that Elena felt for the first time. The others were still astonished and clueless on the past events. Where they were was an absolute mystery in itself. There was no human being on sight but a population had inhabited this place for some time before. Skeletons, human skeletons, found lying next to the room they were locked in. 

A torch was burning at the very center of the hall and next to it was a chair deserving of a Royalty. Somehow, she felt that it was hers and it was calling her. Memories? Were those some part of her? In the past life? Magicians did not believe in reincarnation but Travelers know that spirits do travel. It might be here in a minute and then gone many years ago. What differed were the bodies these spirits entered into. That was why no one could remember. The human brain only remembered those it remembered. What the spirit knew were the hunches. It was like pinching her on the gut
