The Confession

Author’s POV

He was in his study, on his third stiff drink and still so much conscious. He had no idea why Elena wanted to meet his family. Could she not just live peacefully with him? Why does she want the entire package?

“Because she is a good woman who understands the importance of family unlike you who doesn’t value family.” His heart scolded.

“He already knows that family is nothing but a farce.” He thanked his mind for defending him.

“Maybe she doesn’t think so?”

“If she doesn’t, she is a fool as her family has proved him right.”

He thought about her family and his anger resurfaced. They had made her cry and in return, he will make them cry. The glass shattered with the force and his hand started bleeding as the shards cut deep into his hand but he was far from feeling any pain.
