The day had passed in the blink of an eye and the sun was setting. I'd been unconscious for most of it and then spent the remaining few hours of the late afternoon talking with Bonnie and Gavin.

Bonnie had proudly announced that she had made the car journey back in just under four hours. She must have drove like a bat out of hell!

Bonnie stayed with me that night after Gavin left. I felt more tired than usual so we ate dinner and went to our rooms. I was glad to be alone with my thoughts after everything that had happened.

I desperately wanted to see my mom but Gavin had assured me she was fine.

I walked into my bathroom and stood in front of the mirror to examine my face. I checked my teeth - again and then looked deep into my eyes looking for my wolf.

Nothing.

I got into bed, my thoughts of Hunter and the day's events swirling round my mind. My phone gently vibrates and I glance at the screen. A message from Hunter.

'I can't stop thinking about you, I will be with you as so
