Chapter 21

Felix parked the car out of sight of the road and a couple of miles away from the area where I saw all of the activity this morning. Well at least this is where I think the activity was. I am still getting the hang of using my powers and it isn’t exactly as though I see a map in my head showing me where people are.

It is more like I can use the connection that I feel to the other members of the pack to get a feeling for where they are. I can tell what direction they are relative to me and approximately how far away they are.

That was how I worked out where to look but it was also why I couldn’t be 100% sure that this was the right area. It is the right direction though, of that I am almost certain.

“What are we looking for?” Felix asked as we all got out of the car.

“I am not sure, anything unusual.” I said.

“This whole thing seems like a waste of time to me.” Felix complained.
