Chapter 52

When I got back into the house my mom was waiting for me in the hallway. She had a few more grey hairs than I remembered and there were a few more wrinkles around her eyes. But other than that she was exactly as I remembered her.

Tears started to pool in my eyes. I had spent most of my life believing that my mom was dead and yet here she was, she was stood right in front of me. It was completely overwhelming. I ran over to where she was standing and threw my arms around her, letting my tears overflow and run down my cheeks.

“I missed you so much.” I said between sobs.

“I missed you too Diana. I never stopped loving you and I am so proud of the women you have become. I hope you will always remember that.” She replied, holding me tightly.

I couldn’t tell you for sure how long we stayed like that but when we finally let go of each other most of the vampires had vanished. The few that remained were now around the outskirts of the room, talking amongst themselves.
