Hayley’s POV
My mate was human, how can my mate be human? This was impossible, why would the Moon Goddess do this to me, it was bad enough I was half wolf and half fae. I couldn’t stop pacing my cell, after my mate handed me over to the guards they had been really heavy handed and tossed me inside like they were throwing a ball, every part of my body ached.
The kiss lingered on my lips, the electric sparks that had fizzled along my skin, he said it himself, that he couldn’t resist, that would be the mate bond doing that to him. As much as he was human, he would feel the same as I did, after all the Moon Goddess had made us soul mates for some unknown reason.
It had been three days since the kiss, my body ached and longed for more, just the touch of his skin against mine would be enough. Every day that I heard the door open, I prayed that it would be him, but it was only the usual four guards. The only way I could tell what time of day it was, was by the food
TJ’s POVI felt immense outrage towards the large man stood in front of me, anger fuelling the fire in my belly and I lunged at him, pinning his body to the ground. Erik didn’t even try to stop me this time. My hands shifted into large paws with extended claws and I sunk them into this guys shoulders.“Please, I didn’t, it wasn’t supposed, you were never supposed to remember” the guy underneath me was begging me to let him go but he wasn’t even fighting back. My wolf was fuming as she made the connection, but it wasn’t her that had lunged at this guy, it was all me.The guy smelt strange, not like anything i have ever smelt.“TJ, maybe we should hear him out” Erik had crouched down next to me and had placed a hand on my back, I snarled at him and then ripped Jack’s ear off with my teeth, spitting it out on the floor, I was going to punish him for what he did to me.He screams a very
Alpha Erik’s POVI could not believe what I was hearing, Jack had been the one all along, he had hidden it well when I had questioned them, even throwing it out that he was getting blamed because he was the night staff. TJ had solved it before us, at least it was a sign her memory was coming back.I wanted answers from the human and Chris blocked my way “Move brother” I growled at him, he stood his ground“He is out cold, to much blood loss” he snorted afterwards trying to hide his amusement "He is useless at the moment"“He hurt my mate” I glance back at TJ who still had a slight heat visible in her skin yet she was stood with her hands on her hips, she always got impatient when we were interrupted.“Come on Erik” she was about to completely lose all patience “He’s out, we can’t do anything right now” and she started to bite that bottom lip.Chris was trying to hi
Hayley’s POV I could not believe it, we had been so close to finding the people who had taken TJ all along, how none of my great grandfather’s army discovered the hidden door was beyond me but now we knew who had taken TJ. Humans! I wanted to vomit, humans had caused my family so many problems in the past, my great grandfather had told me many stories, its why we started living on another realm. A place inaccessible to anyone who did not have Fae blood, Fae were also banned from having any connections with them, otherwise your death would be certain. We were really grateful when they had been wiped out. In that moment I remembered Marcus the man holding my hand, the human who had been part of the plan in taking us down. Yes I wanted to kiss him, but I also want to smack him for what he and his kind had done. I raised a hand to strike him and to my surprise his reflexes were quick and he grabbed my wrist “Not now, we have to move” and he growls, wait, what?, h
TJ’s POV Marcus gave us details on what had happened to me, not all because he didn’t know how I was captured just that their leader, a man called Matthew had done it. He also filled us in on the brutal torture I had been through. It made me uncomfortable listening to the descriptions of beatings I had received at the hands of Matthew. I was curious to know how he knew so much if he never took part. “The main guard was ill one day, Matthew asked me to stand guard as the torturing’s took place” his brows knitted together, clearly reliving the images he had seen. “I still do not understand how you survived it” "Because she is amazing" I catch Erik staring at me and recognise that he is not the only one, all eyes are trained on me and they probably all had the same question as Marcus but honestly I don’t even know how, especially as I have seen the scars that the torturings has left, my back in particular was covered in them. I think Erik w
Matthew’s POV What the hell was that sound, I headed out of my office to find Alice on her way to find me, I pick her up and hurry down the flight of stairs, meeting her nanny along the way and hand her over. “Go to our house and stay there until I return”. I carry on down the staircase and stop at the floor above the prison, people were running around, the screams had grown louder and yet I still couldn’t see anything, the guards from the prison came out “Is everyone locked in?” “Yes sir” they respond in unison, at least there will not be another escape A young man with greasy hair comes running towards me “Sir, sir, there has been an explosion in the boiler room” “What the hell happened?” “We do not know yet, we are working on it” the young man tells me “Well sort it as soon as possible, we have lots of people here” he nods and runs back in the same direction he came from. I start climbing the stairs and catch a glimp
TJ’s POVYou need to find himI know, I groan back at my wolf.“What happened?” Erik was questioning a sobbing Hayley.“He lunged for him and threw something at him, that’s what made the loud bang” Hayley was still sat on the floor, "Aslo attacked Marcus"“Taken him to Faery?” I ask cautiously and she shakes her head“No, no Fae blood so he will not be able to enter” she has finally stopped crying “Please find him”“I thought Aslo didn’t mind half breeds” Hayley shook her head at me again“He doesn’t, as long as they have Fae blood”“So much for him wanting a unified world” Erik thought he was muttering out of ear shot. I shoot him a dirty look and he looks at the ground. He is jeopardizing our lifeI try to ignore her comment, I knew my wolf didn’t trust him
Alpha Erik’s POVI was unsure about TJ shifting, it was rare that she did before she was taken as she didn’t need her wolf to be brutal. It was also the first time since hospital that TJ would be shifting fully. I watched as all her bones cracked and her body contorted before it sprouted fur and soon she was stood on four legs in front of me, as a stunning red wolf.I shifted too and we headed towards the forest line where Hayley and Chris were waiting for us, as we walked I nuzzled my head against hers showing my appreciation that she had allowed herself to shift into wolf form without much drama. As we ran through the forest, TJ mentioned how she could smell something and even with the heightened senses, I could smell nothing other than the usual forest smells. She suddenly changed direction and digging my poors into the Earth, I skidded to a stop so I could run with her whilst mind linking Chris and Hayley.TJ came to a halt just as Hayley
Hayley’s POVI run to where Marcus has been abandoned, he was battered and bruised but he still embraced me with the little energy he had left. Whatever my great grandfather had done to him, I was certain Luna TJ was going to make him suffer. I helped Marcus to his feet and shoulder some of his weight as we make a move away from all this, this lie my great grandfather had created.A part of me felt like I had to protect Aslo, he had raised me after all but was that even the truth, I had no idea if what he has taught me over the years is even true.I looked around to see that my Luna was already tearing my great grandfather apart, she was not in her wolf or human form but something in between, something that was demonic. He never stood a chance against her and right now I felt nothing for the man I had called great grandfather. The castle behind them caught my attention, it was not as magnificent as I had previously seen, it was run down and part of
