ADRIAN

“What’s with that look?” she asks, narrowing her eyes playfully. “You look like a predator eyeing his next meal.”

I smile, slow and deliberate, flipping my laptop shut with a soft click. She was standing in the center of the room, wearing that satin light-blue nightdress Phil had given her—thin, almost sheer. It clung to her like a second skin, teasing every inch of her silhouette.

I didn’t reply. I couldn’t. My body had already answered for me. Just looking at her stirred something primal—something hungry.

Before I could say a word, a knock interrupted the tension.

“What is it, Phil?” Syra called out from the door.

She spoke in whispers, but even without trying, I could hear. I chose not to. I gave her that privacy. But my gaze never left her—watching her form move, the sway of her hair, the soft shift of satin against skin.

Minutes passed. Then she returned, pushing the door shut behind her.

I didn’t wait.

In one swift motion, I grabbed her wrist and pinned her to the wall. H

ATTACK ON THE STEINHART RESEARCHJOSH“Stick to the plan. Got it?” Second Lieutenant Sophie’s voice was sharp, slicing through as we suited up in the back of the black SV van. The van vibrated faintly as the engine idled, and the faint click of bullets sliding into chambers echoed like a countdown to chaos.Caleb sat near the front, his fingers flying across the screen of his tablet. Streams of code danced in green light across his lenses. “Security feed's almost ours,” he muttered, barely audible over the metallic symphony of weapons being locked and loaded.I ran my hand along the cold steel of my rifle before slipping it into the duffel bag, heart pounding against my ribs like war drums. This was it. Steinhart wasn’t just a fortress—it was a legend. And we were about to punch it in the face.“What’s so funny?” Liam asked as he tugged the collar of his MS Security uniform into place. The disguise looked real—too real, and somehow that made it even more nerve-wracking.I smirked,

DOUBLE-FACE ALPHA JAKE MOONCLAWTHIRTY MINUTES TO STEINHART RESEARCH ATTACK.“What did he say?” I ask Lucian the moment the call ends.“He’s on his way,” Lucian replies, though his gaze is no longer on me. It’s fixed Nathan. Syra, still in her wolf form, lies curled beside him, unusually calm. Her fur shimmers like a greenish flame, an ethereal glow of Wolf Nature igniting around her.Lucian's voice tightens. “How do you know so much about the Blessed Luna and the Alpha King legend?”“It all connects to their clan,” Uncle Luke chimes in.Uncle Justin adds, “There are fifteen elders currently in Kenya. Marion is among the oldest. They see themselves as guardians of the Blessed Luna.”Nathan looks up, eyes now glowing blue. “We don’t ‘see’ ourselves as anything. We are. There are six guardians chosen by the Moon herself—tasked with protecting the Blessed Luna from any darkness that seeks her.”Lucian frowns. “Six? Where are the rest?”Before Nathan can answer, the front door slams open

OMEGA NATHAN“Who the hell are you?”The voice cut through the room, cold and biting. It came from one of the tall men standing near the center—classic black tailored suit, sharp jawline, and just the right amount of arrogance. He had the looks, sure—but that wasn’t the problem here. She had that glow.Just like Marion described. Just like the left scrolls whispered. And in her wolf form… gods, she was massive. Radiant. Ethereal. I’d only read about it. Never seen it. Never imagined it was real until now.“I asked you a question!” the man snapped again, his voice more agitated this time. “Who are you—and how the hell do you know about her?”I stayed calm, even as the weight of seven gazes burned through me—three elders with unreadable expressions, and four younger alphas that looked like they hadn’t smiled since birth.“Everyone, please,” I raised my hands slowly, scanning the room. “I told you—I’m here to help her.”“And I asked you how,” the same man growled, taking a threatening st

FLORAL LUNA JULESONE HOUR, SOME SECONDS TO STEINHART RESEARCH ATTACKWhen I first met Nathan, he’d been brought in by Elder Marion and Alpha Jacob, and I’d immediately pegged him for just another stray—another lost wolf seeking shelter in our neutral pack. Our pack has always been different. As one of the few neutral packs recognized by the Council, no one dared to provoke us. Not with Elder Marion among us, and Alpha Jacob being part of the Union. But that wasn’t why I hated Nathan.No. I hated him because from the moment he arrived—this dorky-looking boy with quiet eyes and messy hair—he was treated like royalty. He walked through our gates and somehow stole the spotlight I’d spent my entire life building.I was Marion’s favorite. The brightest, the most promising girl in the pack. And the prettiest, if I may add. Daughter of the second-in-command, Alpha Daniel. Then Nathan comes along and bam—he’s the only one who can perform the Blessed Luna ritual. Turns out his ability is som

SYRATWO AND A HALF HOURS TO STEINHART RESEARCH ATTACKMy skull felt like it was splitting in two—no, into a thousand jagged fragments. Each one pulsed with white-hot electricity, stabbing through my brain like lightning bolts without mercy or rhythm. As if the universe itself had gripped my head with iron fists, forcing an avalanche of information—images, voices, memories that weren’t mine—into my mind at once. Each thought slammed into the next, cascading, crashing, overlapping like a storm of screaming data I couldn’t silence.I couldn’t decipher it all. There were too many.Too many voices, too many fragments of names, places, faces, sounds—like eavesdropping on a thousand nightmares all at once, and yet somehow, some part of me understood each and every one. It was unbearable. My chest grew heavy, lungs shrinking as if someone had bound them with invisible chains. I gasped, but the air tasted wrong.Around me, I saw their mouths move—Lucian. They were talking. Arguing, maybe.

SYRAJULY 11, FOUR HOURS TO STEINHART BEING ATTACKED“Alright,” Gabriella said, her voice crisp, echoing slightly in the high-ceilinged conference room. “It’s been two weeks, and the final decision has been made.”She stood tall at the head of the long obsidian table, radiating poise and power. Dressed in a sharp navy blazer tailored to perfection, her white silk blouse peeked through just enough to give a glimpse of elegance without compromising authority. High-waisted charcoal trousers hugged her slender figure, accentuating her poised stance, and a pair of sleek, black stilettos completed the look with just the right hint of danger. A silver brooch shaped like a crescent moon glinted at her collar—subtle, yet commanding. Her wine-red hair was pulled into a high ponytail, strands sleek and controlled, not a single flyaway in sight. Those icy blue eyes swept across the room, razor-sharp and unreadable. You could almost feel the air stiffen around her—the weight of her presence dragg
