Joy moved among the wounded, her clothes soaked with blood while she sweated profusely.

It was not until the medical staff taking over her shift arrived that she could finally breathe a sigh of relief. She sat on a dusty abandoned ammunition box, rubbing her aching calves while staring blankly at the lingering smoke in the distance.
