"Mr. Morelli your late," Mrs. Stelch states.

"Yes, sorry but I had business to attend to," Mason tells her.

"Fine but if your late again you get a C," she says before going to the whiteboard and writing a few sentences.

Mason walks down the line of tables and chairs until he gets to mine. He taps my table then slides into the chair beside me.

"You're learning Latin," he states. I do not answer. I just copy down the phrases the teacher wrote in my notebook.

I continue to ignore him and continue writing notes.
