I watched from the shadows once Alexus exited her parents' bedroom. I masked my scent with the leftover serum I found in her bedroom. I needed her to remain on her toes at all times, especially with a possible war looming in the background.

I snuck down the hallway, silently trailing behind her. I bit back a chuckle at how unsuspecting she was. It was amazing that she lasted so long in the woods. I lunged at her and was surprised when she dropped low and swept my feet from underneath me, making me fall on my back. Rayge became excited when she straddled my waist.

Noah: Cool it.

Rayge: I can't help it. It reminds me of what happened earlier. You should take her. Right here, right now.

Noah: Oh, yeah. Right here in the hallway where anyone could see us.

Rayge: I'm glad that we're on the same page.

Noah: There's something seriously wrong with you.

Rayge: You're seriously considering not mating our mate because her daddy said so. I think most would agree that you're the issue.
