Rayna’s eyelids moved slowly. The first thing she felt was the light from the hospital room lamp, which seemed slightly blinding as her consciousness gradually returned. However, her body felt extremely weak; even moving her body felt difficult.

Rayna blinked several times before her vision finally became clear. The first thing she saw was the figure of a man sitting in a chair beside her bed.

“Reagan,” she called softly.

Rayna looked at the man. Reagan appeared to be sitting slightly hunched,

Darius walked slowly along the hospital corridor, which looked quiet.“Rayna … I hope she has already woken up and that her condition is getting better,” Darius hoped. “That way, I can bring her back to the mansion.” Darius wanted to spend his time with Rayna and only wanted himself to take care of his wife, not Reagan. In his hand was a bouquet of fresh red roses. Darius deliberately bought those flowers because he knew Rayna loved red roses very much. The petals looked soft and beautiful, in contrast to the expression on the man’s face that was filled with anxiety. However, he could not deny that he felt a little excited and happy because he would soon meet his wife.Occasionally, Darius lifted the bouquet and gently inhaled the soft fragrance of the roses, as if he were trying to calm himself.Darius’s gaze softened. “By giving her these favorite roses, I’m sure Rayna will forgive me,” he muttered softly with confidence, because he knew his wife had a forgiving nature.Darius looke

The first thing she saw was the figure of a man sitting in a chair beside her bed.“Reagan,” she called softly.Rayna looked at the man. Reagan appeared to be sitting slightly hunched, as if he had been waiting for her for a long time. The Alpha’s face looked tired, but when he realized that Rayna had opened her eyes, his expression immediately changed.“Rayna?” Reagan called in a low voice filled with relief.Rayna stared at him for a few seconds without answering. She tried to remember what had happened. Then her memory returned, fragments of the argument at the mansion with her husband.“Ahh …,” her head throbbed slightly as she remembered how rough Darius had been.“Rayna

Brukk!Reagan shoved Darius roughly. Around them, several nurses who witnessed the fight looked shocked.Laura immediately ran closer.“Darius!” Laura called out anxiously. “Alpha, are you alright?”“I’m fine. Move,” Darius said, clearly unwilling to appear defeated.Laura hooked her arm around Darius’s arm. Even though the Alpha kept trying to pull away, Laura held onto him again.“Don’t fight anymore. The wounds on your face are already bad enough,” Laura said, stopping him.For a moment, Darius wanted to refuse. At the same time, he looked at Reagan and his wife who was lying on the bed.Reagan’s and Darius’s gazes met again, filled with hostility. But this time Reagan tried to restrain himself and not respond to Darius.“Don’t cause trouble here,” Reagan warned. His voice was low but full of threat.“She’s resting, and I don’t want the voices of both of you disturbing her!”Darius slowly stood up. Both of his eyes burned with anger, and he clearly disliked Reagan’s words just now.

For a few seconds, Darius froze. He truly did not move when he saw his wife looking weak on the stretcher."Was I too harsh earlier, to the point that she ended up like this?" Darius seemed to blame himself. His gaze was fixed on his wife’s face, Rayna, who lay weakly on the hospital bed. The woman’s face was pale without color, her lips were dry, and her breathing was assisted by a small oxygen tube. That sight made something inside Darius’s chest feel tightly gripped. There was regret there.Darius knew who had caused Rayna to end up in this condition. It was himself."Rayna, forgive me. I was too carried away by my emotions and ended up hurting you," Darius thought regretfully as he intended to step closer to Rayna’s bed. However, before Darius could step closer to the bed, his movement suddenly stopped when he heard a loud voice from someone he knew very well.“Stop right there. Don’t you dare come any closer!” the voice warned coldly, full of pressure.Reagan’s voice sounded cold

The hospital corridor felt long and silent, filled with the sharp scent of antiseptic. White lights on the ceiling reflected a cold glow across the glossy ceramic floor.Only one sound broke the silence, the faint creaking of a stretcher being pushed slowly.Reagan walked beside the stretcher with long yet controlled strides. His gaze never left Rayna’s body lying weakly on it.The woman’s face was pale, as if all the color of life had drained from it. Her lips were almost colorless, while her breathing was assisted by a small oxygen tube attached to her nose.Rayna’s chest rose and fell slowly. The Luna looked weak and fragile.“Hurry and wake up and recover, Luna,” Reagan thought hopefully, because he did not like seeing Rayna this weak.Every time Reagan looked at her, something like an invisible grip tightened painfully around his chest.Marcus walked several steps behind them. His eyes moved in every direction with caution, observing every corner of the hospital corridor. His ins

The engine roared loudly as it tore through the city streets, and occasionally Reagan glanced into the rearview mirror.“You’ll be fine,” he murmured.Reagan was driving himself, his hands gripping the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles turned white. His breathing was heavy and unsteady, while in the back seat Rayna lay unconscious.“Hold on …,” he murmured again, his voice hoarse. He ran a traffic light that had almost turned red without hesitation. The horns of other cars blared, but Reagan did not care.He had only one focus, Rayna’s safety.Screech! As soon as he arrived in front of the emergency room, the car stopped abruptly. Reagan stepped out quickly, opened the back door, and lifted Rayna’s body into his arms.“Rayna … we’re at the hospital. You’ll be fine,” Reagan looked at her briefly before striding inside.Rayna’s body felt far too light in his arms. Her face was pale. Even her lips had almost lost all color.“Doctor!” Reagan shouted as soon as he entered the ER.
