Chapter 8

ANNA

Weeks later

Dante had always known that Anna was the woman for him, ever since the day he met her. He was not one to give up easily. He was determined to be a part of Anna's life, no matter what it took.

So when Dante found himself standing outside Anna's house, he knew that he had to take the chance to see her. He had heard rumors that her family life was not the best, but he had never imagined what he was about to witness.

As he stood outside the house, Dante heard a commotion coming from inside. He could hear Anna's mother yelling and screaming, and he could hear the sound of something hitting the walls. Dante's heart raced with fear as he wondered what was happening.

Suddenly, the front door burst open, and Dante saw Anna stumble out of the house, her face bruised and bloodied. Dante swallowed his saliva, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing right now!

Dante was horrified at the sight of Anna's injuries, and he felt a surge of anger towards her parents for hurting her.
