Dinner ends with Aiden declaring it as the “best part of the day” for the fourth time.

“That is what you said after we went swimming.”

I point out.

“And after the tree house.”

Derek adds.

“And after the ice cream.”

Ava says and we all laugh at the expression on Aiden’s face.

He frowns at us.

“Well, all of them were the best.”

He says seriously and I arch a brow at him.

“Even when you cannonballed onto Uncle Derek’s head?”

I ask and he nods his head.
