Sienna’s Point of View

The café is warm when I step inside, filled with the hum of voices and the scent of freshly baked bread. Emma waves me over as soon as I walkin, her blonde hair pulled into a messy bun, her smile wide.

“There you are! I was beginning to think you ditched me.”

She teases. I laugh softly as I slide into the seat across from her.

“You would just hunt me down if I did.”

“You are right about that.”

She says, grinning at me.

“So, what are we having today? Sandwiches? Salads? Don’t even try to say soup because I am starving.”

I rolled my eyes at her.

“Sandwiches sound good. Something with actual substance.”

“Perfect.”

She says, waving the waitress over.

"Hello there, what can I get you two today?

She asks with a smile.

“Hi, can I get a toated chicken mayo with cheese, please. And an vanilla iced coffee.”

Emma says and the waitress nods her head as she scribbles on her pad before looking at me.
