Chapter 16~ Meant to be mine

**Silas’ POV**

I shouldn’t have invited Rowan to the hunting games.

If I had known…. If only I had known he would turn out to be Raina’s mate, I wouldn’t have allowed him to come into my pack and do as he pleased.

After so many years, he was still so full of himself. Back at the Alpha training academy, we were the best of friends.

Rowan was always good at everything, and the most powerful of all. At first, I was happy to have such a powerful friend by my side.

However, when people started comparing me to him– the way I was weaker than him, the way I was shorter than him, the way he was more good-looking, and muscular… I was inferior to him in every way, and that planted a seed of envy in me.

As time went by, I couldn’t take the comparisons anymore. Each time we had a fighting competition, Rowan would emerge victorious. It was annoying, and the fact that everyone’s attention was on him and not me, it got to me.
