59. Back in the Game

Orion’s pov

It had been three days, and Erin hadn’t woken up yet. In the meantime, I had texted Ezra, and he came here to stay until his mother was out of the hospital. From the outside, our pack seemed like just a small town, but Ezra wasn’t dumb, and he could tell something was up.

Even though he spent most of the time in the hospital, whenever we were outside, he could see the way people treated me. It was the opposite of how people treated me when I worked at the Sunflower Motel.

My pack members might not all agree with me being their alpha, but they still greeted me with respect. They greeted me respectfully, and some even bowed slightly, barring their necks. There was no way Ezra didn’t notice something.

[So they just let you be mayor because of your dad?] He signed when we came back to the packhouse. I had given Ezra a room there and an office, and he was shocked to find out the house belonged to me and Izzy.

it's been crazy busy and I as much as I'm trying to spend time writing for both stories, I seem to always keep falling short for this one. I will try to do better
