Jace called a secret meeting, the Alpha council was still asleep, his pack gathered in the hall. His eyes scanning them to make sure. He had asked for only one family member from each family to come for the announcement. He wanted the people who went to war with him. They were the ones who saw what Nora was capable of. He still didn't understand so he knew his pack didn’t ethier. He made sure Dante locked the door to the hall before continuing.
“I gathered you all here to talk about what happened during the battle with Kip’s pack. Your Luna sacrificed herself to save us all. I don't stand the power’s that the moon goddess has blessed her with. All I know is we are too keep them a secret. There is more to unfold with her and we as a pack will support her on this journey. If others find out about her powers, they may try to take our Luna. I will, we will not allow this.” Jace’s voice boomed through the room, the pack members nodding and agreeing without his Alpha aura urging them to.
“The council is here and we do not need them to know anything about Nora. All they know is she is my mate and our Luna.” Jace’s voice changed in tone, sending out an order to make sure none of his pack members would tell the council anything about Nora.
His pack was loyal so he wasn't worried but there was an underlying fear in the pit of his gut. What if he wasn't sure about every member of his pack. What if there was one who wanted to ruin him. One who did not agree with Nora being Luna. The fear pitted in his stomach and laid a nest there. He was never afraid of anything or anyone now he had Nora and his stomach twisted thinking about losing her.
“We need to also discuss setting up a ceremony to confirm Nora as Luna-
Suddenly the door to the hall was kicked open. Dante began growling, bowing up at whoever dared interrupt their meeting. His eyes locked with Lance. Lance let out his aura trying to make Dante submit. He fought till the point he was breaking out in sweat and finally had to cave and bow his head. The room bowed their heads to all except Jace.
“Jace having secret meetings?” Bruce asked, walking in from behind Lance.
“No, you and your men were sleeping so we didn't want to disturb you.” Jace said, pushing away the annoying pain that Lance was trying to cause him to submit.
The room of his pack members dropped lower to the ground as Lance continued to send out his aura trying to make Jace submit to him. Jace locked eyes with him. His own eyes glowing as he felt another painful surge. He was strong and he could tolerate this but his pack members were suffering. His eyes flickered to Bruce and narrowed on him.
“Oh Lance, that's enough. I want to be able to talk to the man today, not tomorrow after he knocks out from trying forever to fight your aura.” Bruce grumbled.
Lance lifted his aura and made a face at Jace. He would love to see Jace and his whole pack buckle to their knees, to beg and grovel underneath his feet. His eyes went to Bruce clearly upset. Bruce waved him off as Douglas entered the room.
“So what's the meeting about?” Bruce smiled walking to the front of the room and taking a seat.
Lance and Douglas began to spread out through the crowd. Trying to intimidate the pack. Jace watched them, his eyes glowing slightly. He wanted to attack Lance the most out of all of them. Lance was arrogant, entitled, never worked for anything, and didn't care about the rules or the role he was placed in. He just wanted whatever made him happy.
“Jace?” Bruce asked but his voice wasn't asking, it was a reminder that he was higher ranking them and he wanted an answer now.
“We were talking about a ceremony for my mate becoming Luna.” Jace answered shortly, eyes still locked on Lace.
“Oh excellent. That is a special occasion. We will attend. When is it?” Bruce asked.
“We were just going over the details.” Jace said through his teeth.
Dante looked up at him, his eyes filled with worry. The tone Jace was using with the council was getting very close to being disrespectful. He was worried what they would do if they felt insulted. He was watching everyone the best he could. He would have Jace’s back if needed.
“Ok so we will do it two days from now, at sunset. We should go out in the woods when the last ray of sunlight touches the earth and the moon starts peeking out. Your mate has a glow about her and I think it would be beautiful like that. We will be thrilled to honor you with our presents. It will be a blessing on your pack.” Bruce announced.
Jace clenched his jaw, becoming angry. No one invited them, no one had planned anything yet. He could feel Cole wanting to come forward.
“That is a perfect idea, High Alpha Bruce. We will begin working on all the tiny details. Thank you for solving our problems. Luna will love it.” Sarah spoke up seeing the rage that Dante and Jace were sending off.
She knew that it was better to work smart than emotional. Jace's eyes snapped to her, almost surprised. He watched her reach over and squeeze Dante’s hand trying to calm him as well. The gesture made him miss Nora. If she were here she would tell him to agree, it was simple and they didn't need to cause ripples for no reason.
“What is your name, girl?” Bruce asked, looking over to Sarah.
“Sarah, High Alpha.” Sarah said, bowing her head.
“Jace, is she new to your pack? I don't think I remember her.” Bruce said, looking from Sarah to Jace.
“Yes, She recently joined. She is Dante’s mate.” Jace said quietly.
“Congratulations Beta. I wish that the moon goddess will bless the two of you.” Bruce smiled brightly.
“Thank you for the perfect plan for the Luna’s ceremony. We will begin working on all the extra.” Jace said, trying his hardest to be polite so they would leave.
“Oh you're most welcome. Jace, do you serve breakfast around here?” Bruce asked, his stomach growling.
“Yes, if you head to the pack house and go to the kitchen Lori will fix you whatever you like or you can pick from the already made breakfast,” Jace smiled.
Bruce nodded and then motioned for Douglas and Lance to follow him. Douglas did not show any interest in anything going on and was the first one out of the hall. Bruce lingered in the door waiting on Lance who continued to stare down Jace. Once they left Jace wanted to explode but he took a deep breath.
“You all can go back to your homes, spread the word about the Luna’s ceremony as well as the other important thing.” Jace order.
“Dante, I need you to take your mate and find me a white or gold gown for Nora. If it is white I want something that shimmers. Sarah it's your job to make sure it gets done. As well as setting up the area and making it beautiful. You can have whoever you want to get it done.” Jace said giving orders but not even thinking about how sweet he sounded.
“I will do Alpha.” Sarah smiled.
“ I need to go check in with Nora. Dante, I need you to keep things in check around here and put someone on Alpha council duty. They don't have to officially go over and hang out but I want to know where they go and what they do,” Jace ordered him.
“Of course Alpha.” Dante nodded.
Dante pulled Sarah into him and he kissed her deeply before winking at her and heading out. Sarah, embarrassed by the display, bowed her head at Jace before heading out. He was going to go see his mate. He walked out the hall door, his eyes set on his car. He crossed the parking lot in no time. Reaching the car he flung open the door and as he was about to get in his car door was shut on him. Lance shut the door and leaned against the door of the car.
“Lance, I am trying to go see my mate. It’s not wise to stop me.” Jace said, warning him.
“ I was just about to ask where your pretty little soon to be Luna is.” Lance smirked.
“She is with her pack helping them build and start over.” Jace said almost growling.
“Yes, that's right. She is an Alpha. How is that for you? No power struggles?” Lance chuckled.
“Its is fine. May I go?” Jace growled.
“I would like to see her later, have dinner with her.” Lance smiled.
“When we get back we will see about dinner plans. We have had a busy day already and it's not even noon.” Jace said to him.
“No you misunderstand not with you, me, and her. With just me and her. Of course it would be for business and for the investigation. Just food is always better when questioning a person.” Lance smiled brightly.
“I will talk to Nora and see.” Jace said, trying to get into the car before Cole ripped him to pieces and he had another war on his hands.
“No seeing it will happen….Have a nice day Jace.” Lance said, commanding him before he left.
Phase Two, Happily Ever After:A week flew by in a blink of an eye. There was so much to do and such little time. Just like the time getting away from them Nora’s belly was growing and growing. She was surprised how quickly wolf pregnancy advanced. She stood up out of bed grabbing her back, feeling her hips pop. Jace was by her side helping her up fully. Nora smiled gratefully at him. He kissed her forehead and then kneeled.“Good morning Little one.” He whispered sweetly into Nora’s belly.“Little i think is an understatement.” Nora chuckled. “She’s going to be strong like her mother.” Jace said, kissing her belly before standing.“She? How do you know it's not a he?” Nora smiled playfully.“He could be as dashingly handsome as his father…strength i agree will come from his mother.: Nora grinned teasing Jace.“She is going to be as beautiful and strong as you.” Jace said as if he had just made it so.Nora laughed, shaking her head. She waddled over to her closet looking into it. A
Reunited: As soon as the door shut behind Douglas, Jace’s whole mood changed. Nora felt it in an instant. The fearless, strong warrior that he was melted away and she felt all his fear and anxiety. Jace wrapped his arms around her and buried his face into her shoulder. His body shook lightly, his breathing got caught in his throat. Nora was confused for a second. She squeezed him back and then pulled away slowly.“Jace?” Nora whispered.“Damn it Nora.’ Jace whispered, holding her tightly, afraid to let her go.“Are you ok? Is the baby ok? “ Jace asked, pulling back looking at her, his eyes searching hers as if looking for some sign.“We are fine.” Nora smiled big, touching his face and her fingers traced his chiseled jawline.“ You need to stop saving everyone. I was so afraid I was going to lose you. Are you sure you and the baby are ok?” Jace said as if he had been holding it together the whole time until they were alone.“Jace I promise, the baby and I are just fine.” Nora said, p
Promise:The words hit her like a ton of bricks. Alpha of all Alphas. She exhaled slowly trying to calm herself. Her immediate response was to yell No. She glanced at Jace who was looking at her like he was so proud. So much love in his eyes. His eyes were glowing amber letting everyone know where his alliance was. She had always thought in the end game he would be the Alpha of all Alpha’s not her.“I need to sit,” Nora whispered, overwhelmed by what Jace had just said to her. Jace scoped her up into his arms, she instantly melted into his chest. He was her safe place and she had missed him. She then tensed up realizing he was making his way towards the throne. “No not there.” Nora said quickly, realizing Jace was going to put her in one of the throne seats.Jace laughed, holding on to her tighter. Jace carried her down to the first pew where members of dark water moved out of the way so she could sit. She smiled her thanks as she sat down trying to focus on breathing. We got this.
Light:In an instant Red Wood pack where on their feet. Lance quickly crossed his way to Nora grabbing her by her hair. Lance began dragging her back towards the throne area. Red wood moved out from the pew. Asher growled echoed through the hall. City light and Dark water were on their feet ready to fight. Silver mountain remained seated. “I suggest you tell Red Wood to sit down or watch your pack be slaughtered.” Lance growled into Nora’s ear.“In light of the nearly found information. I am now selecting myself as Alpha of Red wood.” Lance yelled.“You are not our Alpha!” Asher yelled, stepping in the aisle.“Tell them I am the Alpha of all.” Lance demanded as he pulled Nora against him.“Renounce your title and give it to me.” Lance said, placing his hand around her throat, hsi wolf claws digging into her.Her body isn't reacting. Why did it not think it was in danger? This was one of the most dangerous situations she had been in and she wasn't even getting a tingle. Logan locked
Onyx: Asher gritted his teeth and tried to stay glued to his chair. His mind trying to connect with someone from Cross River, he knew it was impossible but maybe. What the hell was going on? Where the hell was Jace? They were cutting it too close. He glanced at Lyla to his side and saw that her eyes were glossed over. She was mindlinking someone. The mind linked ended and she looked to Asher, her face going pale. Asher knew something was instantly wrong. He looked up at the stage. Lance’s mouth hovering over Nora’s neck inches from marking her. “Who did you just talk to? What is going on?” Asher sent to her through mindlink. Lyla looked like she was going to be sick, her eyes starting to panic. As she went to stand. Asher pulled her back down to the pew. “Answer me.” Asher demanded. Nora could feel his breathing on her neck. It made her skin crawl. He tilted her head with his hand exposing more of her neck and giving himself a better angel. Nora shut her eyes trying so hard to
The Hall: Nora stared at herself in the floor length mirror. She was staring at a woman she didn't even recognize. She sat like a zombie for almost two hours as the girls attacked her with hair brushes, curling irons, and make up. She was completely numb from the experience. She blinked her eyes trying to adjust to what she was seeing. Her hair was half up , half down in beautiful banana curls. They had placed a large jeweled hair piece on top of her head. The rubys glinsced in the light each time her head moved, standing out beneath its golden frame. Her make was done with a smokey eye with a long black eyeliner wing. Her lips were painted the brightest shade of red, making them stand out even more than her honey colored eyes. The girls attempted to take off her onyx and replaced it with yet another ruby but Nora won that argument. She shifted the dress slightly, sending out another broadcast of shimmering light. It was all overwhelming. “Ready?” Polly’s voice came from behind h
