Chapter Twenty Two - Raina

After deciding I’d start my new job after training tomorrow, I went up to my bedroom, determined to get a good night's sleep. It was most likely wishful thinking but it’s the thought that counts, right?

After changing into a pair of silk pajama shorts and matching tank top, I melted into bed. It was hard falling asleep from Weather and I’s jittery excitement about training tomorrow but after an hour of staring at the ceiling, I managed to drift off into sleep.

My positive attitude regarding a good night’s sleep was proven to be useless.

Tonight’s nightmare was brutal. I had to watch the death of my parents over and over again. Every time I thought it would stop, the memory would replay itself. I felt myself tip toeing on the line of insanity having to watch the worst moment of my life on repeat.

Every time that scarred rogue slit my mothers throat, I felt my heart break.

Every time I watched Arrick stab my father in the heart, I felt my soul shatter.
