Nicklaus

Nick went back to the pack house after speaking with Emily. He needed to check on his mother, Sophia, who had been very frail for a long time, but had gotten worse since the death of her daughter. Once he and Emily had married, he had set her up in a beautiful cabin just a mile away from his home. But when she became increasingly sick, he moved her back into the pack house with him and his family so he would be close in case she needed him.

His mother had once been a powerful Luna, standing side by side with his father for years as they headed up the pack. And when his father had died from an ongoing illness.. she still continued to take care of the Luna duties. Nick had been very young when his father passed and he became the official Alpha. He was merely 14 years old… and barely had become a full wolf just a year prior. So Sophia had mostly ran things until he was older.

Years later he met Emily.. they married and mated and she became official Luna. Nicklaus knew his mother didn’t like being denounced and her title taken away. She had never cared for Emily, and hated her for taking her place in the pack. Sophia had always told Nick that Emily was too young for such a high ranking job. But wolves married young and these things happened all the time.

Emily was the daughter of an extremely powerful Alpha…. she came from the family of the oldest known werewolves to date. So he knew she could handle the pressures of being Luna easily. Still, his mother always complained. But she was growing very very old and he had grown tired of her vindictive ways. If they weren’t careful, all their past transgressions would get out into the world, and he didn’t need that kind of attention on the pack. People would think he was weak, and his position as Alpha would be questioned.

His mother and father had done some really questionable things while in their leadership roles. Nick believed Sophia was probably still doing things he didn’t even know about when she had carried on as Luna. Still, she was his mother and he loved her and wanted to care for her, even if he didn’t agree with her ways of doing things.

Unfortunately his sister had grown up to be a carbon copy of his mother. They had the same outlook and ideas, neither of which were good. Sophia had been sick for a while, growing significantly slower with her old age. When Susan died, she had gone straight downhill. Now the doctor was coming weekly to give her medicine and the nurse came daily to help care for her. If anything else happened…. he didn’t know if she would survive it.

Reaching her door, he knocked and went inside.

Sofia sat in the armchair by the fire. When Nick was a child, she would sit as close to the fire as possible and knit. He thought it must be a calming tactic for her, because of the many hours she sat doing it. She used to knit them scarves and mittens and socks, and hats. He and Susan both had drawers full of these by the time they were teens.

There was no knitting today however, only a sickly version of a wolf that once was, staring into the fire. She looked up when he came in.

“Well?” She said.

“Hello to you too mother.” Nick said in way of greeting.

“Is she still alive or not?” She asked him.

“Of course she is alive, I’m not going to execute my own wife and Luna. She will go to trial.” Nicklaus explained.

“She killed your sister! She doesn’t deserve a trial! If I was able I’d go down to the dungeon and kill her myself…. “ she was yelling, but started coughing and couldn’t finish.

“Caron will be at the trial.” Nick said.

Sophia stopped and looked up at him incredulously.

“Why would you allow that??” She exclaimed.

“It’s wolf law! Susan was his wife they never officially divorced. What do you want me to do?? This is already causing so unwanted attention to the pack!”

Sophia just shook her head and grunted, clearly not agreeing.

“You know who her father is.” Nick said, referring to Emily. “I would be a fool to take him on. And we don’t know what information Caron has about what Susan did. She could never keep her big mouth shut.”

Sophia popped her head up. “Do not speak of your sister that way!”

“This is the problem mother. You coddled her too much! You let her get away with too many things and look what’s happened!” Nick turned to leave the room. But not before Sophia spoke once more.

“You better hope all our family secrets don’t get spilled Nicklaus. You’re going to wish you would’ve just killed that bitch and been done with it, mark my words.”

Nicklaus paused with his door on the handle.

“That bitch, is still my mate.”

Epilogue Emily The last few months had been the happiest in her life. She was overcome each and every day with the amount of peace and love she felt all around her. The pack had taken to her immediately. Everyone had each others backs here… everyone looked out for one another. There was no backstabbing and no secret plans of takeovers. She wasn’t worried constantly about someone trying to kill her. And .. best of all .. she had Lo. She had him all the time. Gone were the days of him having to leave. No more waiting weeks or months or years to see him. He was always there. She was settling into her Luna duties easily. She had done them for so long there wasn’t much to learn. The only difference was the Crow pack was massive in size compared to Nick’s pack. It was even bigger than her home pack so there was a lot of work to be done. But she didn’t mind it. Emily looked down at her arm.. the small crow tattoo looking back at her. She had gotten it right after the wedding. She sti

Wedding continued Emily Emily could not stop the waterworks that were happening. Tears streaming down her face as she sobbed at the letter. She sat it down beside her and patted it gently while she tried to calm herself enough to look at the dress. When she pulled it from the box, she immediately began sobbing again. She had never seen anything so beautiful in her life. The dress itself was the lightest pinky-tan color on the bottom. It was sleeveless and the top was fitted and covered with white lace and flowers. The bottom was flowy and had several layers to it. The train was long and white and was also covered with flowers and lace. It was literally enchanting. And absolutely perfect. So she had her dress and decorations and food.. now she needed some bridesmaids. ~~~~~~~~~~When the day finally arrived Emily was a bundle of nerves. As a special gift to her and Lo, her dad had gotten ordained and was going to marry them. When he walked into the room where she was getting

THE WEDDING EmilyFor the past couple of weeks, she had been working nonstop planning everything. She wasn’t the type of girl who had to have all the bells and whistles and sparkles, however, she did want everything to be perfect for her wedding. When she had married Nick, she had let Susan and Sophia make most of the decisions. And none of it had been what she would have chosen to do… so this time, she got to do it right. She knew they’d need a large area with tons of seating. People from all around would be coming. Several different packs from near and far would attend. People from her home pack of course, even people from Nick’s pack would come. Lorenzo’s pack would’ve filled an entire valley alone. So the first thing she did was find the perfect spot … and surprisingly.. or not.. it ended up being right outside her new cabin. There was a huge open space on one side of it. The other three sides were blocked off by a mountain, a lake, and a forest.. but the front of her house

Emily Nothing had ever felt as good as this. She didn’t care that sticks and grass were poking into her back. She stared up through the trees to the stars in the sky.. or maybe that was just her vision because she was losing herself. Lo continued his onslaught with his tongue. He licked and sucked and kissed.. he added a finger, then another. She couldn’t be still. It was too much .. it felt too good. She squirmed and whimpered and cried out. “That’s it baby…” he said. Then he went back in… attacking her with his mouth. He slowed down then. Torturing her. But goddess it was good. He lazily flicked at her with his tongue.. every so slowly … growling and causing vibrations as she climbed higher and higher. “Loooo…” she breathed out. “Mmmmmm” he hummed into her. Her body began to shake as she kept going higher and higher. He picked up his speed.. he added another finger. His other hand held her open as he kept going faster and faster and faster…. She went over the edge. She

Emily Emily couldn’t wait to see Lorenzo. Being away from him for two weeks was killing her. Of course she had enjoyed her time at home. She loved seeing her dad and Brian and Maeve and June. She had gotten to snuggle little Charlie … and it was as if Charlotte was there with her. She wished they could all live in the same pack together. Her and Lo, their children… her brothers and dad and Maeve and now the baby. And Juniper of course. If she could just have them all with her every day.. it would be a little piece of heaven here on earth. She got to tell Andrew that he was officially adopted. They both hugged each other and cried. He asked her if that meant he could call her mom now .. and she smiled so big her cheeks had hurt. “Yes Andrew. You absolutely can call me mom.” It had been a beautiful reunion with all her children. But now she was headed back to Lo’s pack.. which would soon be her own. Alan and Collins were returning as well in a couple of days. Alan stayed a lit

  • The Luna’s Choice    Chapter 166

Lorenzo Emily had been gone back to her pack for only a couple of days, and already he was losing it being away from her. The hole she left behind was sucking the life out of him. He was moody and felt sick.. and bit the head off anyone who looked at him sideways. She would be returning soon… with the kids. He just had to hold off a little longer. He knew she needed this time with her dad and June and the rest of her family. Alan had gone too and taken Collins. Lo still couldn’t get over how that had all worked out but he was glad. Alan was the best fit for Collins. He knew they’d make each other happy, and he was happy for them both. Alan was one of his best friends and had the biggest heart, just like his sister. He was more like a brother to Lo.. him and Brian. Although Emily never got anywhere near the sister category. But they’d grown up together. The truth was Alan and Collins were a perfect fit. They bounced off each other in the best ways. Alan would bring Collins out o
