FAZER LOGINOlivia's POV
I saw Cyrus stop.
For a moment, I thought the blood would be enough. Not because he still loved me or remained loyal. Just the sight of his wife bleeding on the floor of a cave he had put her in. Maybe that would finally make him look.
"It's the silver, Cyrus. Please, I need a tonic to stop the bleeding." I said, trying to urge him further.
But then Vanessa cried out in his arms.
"Alpha. The silver must have gotten to me, my head hurts. I need some tonic."
And just like that, with one word from her, Cyrus forgot all about me and walked away, leaving me in a pool of my own blood.
One word from her. That was all it took. One word, and my husband chose her again.
I would remember this.
I gritted my teeth, my silver hair clinging to my face with dirt and sweat. I tried to stand from the ground but the blood was flowing nonstop. I would lose my pup. My Celestial wolf aura was running low but I wished it would hold out. If not for me then for my pup. It didn't matter if I died.
I pressed my hand against the bracelet. If I couldn't save myself, I could at least save him. I pushed what little I had left toward my belly, wrapping it around my pup like a shield.
Hold on. Please hold on.
I shut my eyes tightly, grunting low and trying to fight the pain. The last thing I remembered was praying earnestly that my pup be safe.
Cold liquid splashed on my body and I jolted awake, breathing hard as cold bit into my bones. My vision was blurry and I tried to register where I was.
Cynthia, the Alpha's younger sister, was standing in front of me and staring me down.
"Don't mind me. You look like trash and my brother needed to see you so I did you the honor of washing you up." She said before placing the call.
"Show her to me." Cyrus's voice came through the phone immediately after.
"She looks totally fine. Bleeding? It's just an act. Take a look." Cynthia said and she pointed the phone in my direction and I heard Cyrus scoff and saw his image briefly on the screen.
"I did bleed. It's my bracelet. My royal wolf is protecting us but it's too weak and running out. Please Cyrus, get me out of here."
"The talk about being of the royal bloodline again. Cut the crap, Olivia."
"I'm in a lot of pain, Cyrus. Why would I lie about that?" I begged and I could hear Vanessa sigh.
"We are due on the same day but how come you're experiencing more pain than I am." Her voice filled with pretend care.
I fisted my palm. "How could you ask that? You're in my mansion being taken care of by the best healers and doctors while I'm here in this silver cave, chained and lying on the cold floor."
"Are you sure she's alright, Cynthia? She sounds like she's in pain."
"It's all an act to be able to give birth first and have her son as Alpha, Cyrus, you know how she is."
"But still…" Was he finally worried about me now?
Before Vanessa could answer, I spoke again, my voice steady despite the pain.
"Cyrus, the healer lied to you. My doctor told me silver is dangerous for my pregnancy. She said it could kill my pup. But your healer told you it was safe. Ask her why. Ask her why she said that when every healer in the kingdom knows silver is poison to a pregnant wolf."
There was a pause. A long one.
"Don't listen to her, Alpha." The healer's voice came from somewhere behind Vanessa. "She's desperate. She'll say anything."
"Please, Cyrus. Just ask her. That's all I'm asking. Ask her why she told you silver was safe."
"You've lied to me too many times." He said coldly. "I don't believe you anymore."
"Then ask the healer. Ask her in front of the elders. If she's telling the truth, she'll have nothing to hide."
Vanessa cut in before he could respond. "How about we take her bracelet? Remember the black magic in them. It could be what is causing her pain. Black magic isn't good for pregnant weres."
My eyes widened immediately.
"No, no. Not my bracelet. It's the only thing saving me! No!"
Cynthia ended the call and turned to me with a cruel smile on her face. She walked toward me slowly, her eyes fixed on my wrist where the bracelet glowed faintly.
"Give me the bracelet, Olivia. Don't make this harder than it needs to be."
"No! Stay away from me! You don't understand, I need it to survive!" I tried to scramble backward but the chains held me in place.
Cynthia lunged for my wrist and I struggled against her. The silver chains cut into my skin and I cried out in pain. She grabbed at the bracelet, her fingers clawing at it.
"Let's not struggle. This silver is already aching me." She snarled, and when I continued to fight, she brought out a knife from her pocket.
The blade glinted in the dim light and I froze, my heart pounding with fear. She held it up threateningly.
I couldn't break the chains. I couldn't reach the door. But I could still reach the bracelet.
I pressed my fingers against it and pushed.
The aura pulsed outward, pushing her back. She stumbled and fell, the knife clattering to the ground. But she only laughed.
"I knew you were pretending! Look how strong you are. Look at you fighting me off like you're not dying." She scrambled to her feet and lunged at me again.
This time, she was faster. She grabbed my wrist and yanked the bracelet off, cutting it away with the knife. I screamed as the metal snapped, the last of my power draining away.
"You think you're so special? You think you're better than me?" She slapped me across the face and my head snapped to the side. "I have always wanted to be able to hit you. You were always a nobody wolf that acted all high and mighty."
She slapped me again, harder this time. Blood filled my mouth and I tasted copper on my tongue. Her phone fell to the ground but she didn't notice.
"Now I get my revenge. Now you finally know your place."
She slapped me a third time and I felt consciousness slipping away. My body was weak, too weak to fight back, too weak to even lift my arms.
Cynthia stood over me, breathing heavily, a satisfied smile on her face. "Enjoy your time in here, Luna. It's the last time you'll be called that."
She walked out of the cave, leaving me broken and bleeding on the cold stone floor.
I grunted in pain, my body trembling violently. The blood was still flowing, pooling beneath me. I had no powers left to spare. The bracelet was gone. My Celestial wolf was silent.
But then I saw the phone on the ground. Cynthia's phone. It was still on.
With the last of my strength, I reached for it, my fingers shaking.
Cyrus won't believe me.
Who will?
I scrolled through the contacts. My vision blurred. Names swam in front of me.
Cassian, My brother.I pressed the call button and it rang and rang. And rang. But yet, there was no answer.
My thumb hovered over Cyrus's name. The only person left.
I dialed. He answered on the second ring.
"Olivia? What do you want now?"
"Please, Cyrus. Please take me out of here. I have no powers left to spare. I'm dying. I'm really dying."
He sighed heavily, his voice dripping with impatience. "You need to stop this, Olivia. You need to stop coveting your brother-in-law's rightful place. I am the Alpha now. His son will be the heir. Accept it."
"It's not about that! I'm really dying, Cyrus! Please, just come and see me. Just look at me. You'll see I'm telling the truth!"
"You've lied to me too many times." He said coldly. "I don't believe you anymore."
The line went dead.
I stared at the phone in my hand, the dial tone buzzing in my ear. And then I let it fall.
He had hung up on me.
I closed my eyes, the tears slipping down my cheeks. There was no point in fighting anymore. There was no point in holding on. My pup would die. I would die. And Cyrus wouldn't even care.
"I'm sorry, my pup. Mum can't protect you." I whispered as the cold hands of death welcomed me. I was eager to end this torture, this pain, this betrayal.
In my last moment, the only words I could hear were from my father when I had cut ties with him to be with Cyrus. "You will regret this, Olivia. Cyrus is not worth it."
I had left anyway, blinded by love.
Father, you were right. I regret my decision.
The darkness was closing in, pulling me under. I could feel my heart slowing, my breath growing shallow.
And then I heard a voice.
"Luna! Luna Olivia!"
The maid. The one who had brought me the phone earlier. She was kneeling beside me, her hands on my face, her eyes filled with tears.
"Please, don't give up. Please, Luna. You can't die like this. Your pup needs you."
I tried to speak but no words came out. My body was too weak.
"Stay with me. Stay with us, Luna. We're getting you out of here."
I felt someone lift me, strong arms cradling me against a solid chest. The maid's husband, the guard who had been kind to me. He was carrying me out of the cave, breaking the chains that held me.
But I was already slipping in and out of consciousness. Everything was fading, growing distant.
"Stay with me. Stay with us, Luna."
That was the only thing I heard as the darkness swallowed me whole.
Olivia’s POVThe capital rose from the morning mist like a memory I had tried to bury.I had left these walls five years ago with a heart full of reckless devotion and a bracelet that held everything I was. I returned now as something else entirely—a woman who had died, a mother who had lost her child before she could hold him, a Celestial Wolf whose power stirred restlessly beneath skin that still remembered silver. The great spires of the royal city caught the early light and threw it back in sharp, familiar angles. Every tower, every banner, every distant sound of the waking court felt like a finger pressed against an old bruise. We entered through a lesser gate used by merchants and lesser envoys, the kind of entrance that did not demand fanfare or formal announcement. Cassian had arranged everything. False names. Plain cloaks. A story about distant cousins seeking audience on minor territorial matters. My silver hair was braided tightly and hidden beneath a dark hood that shadowe
Olivia’s POVThe journey toward the capital began in silence. We rode under the thinning cover of night, the three of us moving like ghosts along roads that had once belonged only to royal messengers and the dead. Cassian took the lead, silver hair hidden beneath a dark hood, every line of his body coiled with the protective tension of a brother who had already lost me once. Dexter—introduced to me only briefly as Dorian’s Beta—rode at the rear, a solid, weathered presence who spoke little and watched everything. And between them, close enough that I could feel the heat of his presence even through the cool pre-dawn air, rode Dorian.I kept my eyes fixed on the path ahead. It should have been simple. I had agreed to the contract. I had placed my hand in his beside the sacred river and spoken the words that bound us for revenge. Yet every time the moonlight caught the sharp angle of his jaw or the dark fall of his hair, my breath still stuttered. The face was the same. The same mouth t
Olivia’s POVThe sacred river still glowed behind us when the weight of Dorian’s offer settled fully into my bones.Marriage.The word should have tasted like ash. I had already given that vow once, kneeling in a sunlit garden with silver hair unbound and a heart so full of foolish hope it had blinded me to every warning. I had sealed my wolf, my name, and my future into a bracelet for a man who later chained me in silver and walked away. The memory of that first promise still lived beneath my skin like a scar that never quite faded.Yet here I stood on the riverbank, dripping moonlight and river water, staring into the eyes of the twin who wore that same face and none of its weakness.Cassian’s hand remained on my shoulder, warm and steady, the only familiar anchor in a night that had rewritten everything I thought I knew about survival. His voice was low, edged with the protective fury that had always lived in him.“You do not have to decide this now, Olivia. You have only just retu
Olivia’s POVThe first thing I felt was cold. Not the killing cold of silver chains or the endless dark that had tried to claim me in the cave. This cold was clean. It moved. It carried the soft rush of water against my skin and the faint, impossible scent of moonlight on stone. For one disoriented heartbeat I thought I had already crossed into the Goddess’s realm. Then pain returned—sharp, deep, and centered in the hollow place where my child should have been—and I knew I was still among the living. My eyes opened.Silver light danced across the surface of a wide, slow river. The water glowed from within, as though the moon itself had poured its heart into the current. I lay half-submerged in a man’s arms, my head resting against a chest that rose and fell with steady, controlled breaths. The cloak wrapped around me smelled of pine, steel, and something darker—something that did not belong to the husband who had left me to die.I tilted my face upward. The same dark hair. The same sh

I asked and he nodded."His Majesty has sent Cassian, Luna Olivia's brother and he will be at Black Dynasty Pack any moment from now.""Then it's best we start moving." I said and I turned to head down from the mountain but my beta's hand held me back."Alpha D…""I'm no longer your Alpha.""You will forever be my Alpha.""What is it you want to say?" I asked, as my eyes scanned the forest."Is it safe for you to move around like this? If anyone from Black Dynasty recognizes you then our plan has failed." He said and I nodded."Isn't that the reason you dressed us up like dark spies from the west?" I said gesturing to the cloak on his body that was also on mine. "If you ask me, this is even more suspicious."I walked down the mountain as he followed after me. I had wanted to bring malice between the Alpha King and Cyrus but who knew Cyrus would g
