Jackson POV

I watched the shock roll across Carrie’s face. A wolf with no wolf was devastating. To know you had something to do with the loss of a wolf would be a lot to handle. “It does not matter, he is going to the dungeons,” I reiterate watching Josh and Christian move forward to pick Randy up from the ground.

“Did you not hear me? He is not a threat!” the woman yells. “Too damn bad. He may have information we can use,” I say to her as Randy is dragged towards the dungeons. “What information? He was the cause of the bulk of the issues,” she says as she tries to go after her son.

I catch her arm. “You are not going anywhere until you explain how you came to be here,” I say to her as Carrie watches them drag her brother away. “What do you mean?” she demands. “I mean Carrie has waited a lifetime for her mother and you just happen to show up at the exact time she needs you?” I respond.
