Georgina Sinclair's POV:

Marius says nothing at first. He looks down at the papers in my hands with his keen eyes. Then he sighs quietly and takes them away. I try to protest but he doesn't let me. Marius puts the documents aside on the table with a finality that brooks no argument.

"Enough." he said in a firm voice.

Soon, his hand immediately seeks mine. His large and warm palm engulfs my fingers and grounding me even as I start to frown.

"What do you mean?" I started but his grip on my hand gently tightens.

"You've done enough thinking for tonight. It's time for you to rest." he murmured.

I blink at him.

"Rest?" I echoed and feeling confused.

Before I can demand an explanation, Marius bends down in one swift motion. His strong arms slip beneath me and lifting me clean off the chair as if I weigh nothing at all. I gasp and instinctively clutching his shoulders.
