Calian POV

It’s her, I’m convinced it is Ame.

She’s different…in appearance…in the way she holds herself…so much taller, stronger.

She may have dyed her hair, may be wearing contacts…but I know in my heart of hearts it is my wife.

As I pulled Balgaire aside in the hospital room, he didn’t confirm the healer is Ame, he kept dodging around my questions saying he found her on the side of the road with no memory.

He can deny it all he likes, they can maintain this trickery for as long as they think possible, but I will not be fooled, I know it is her.

The way she looked at me continues to plague me…so distant…as if she didn’t even know me.

As if we had never met before…like we were strangers.

For now, all I am certain of is I can’t let her leave.

I’ve been searching for her for five years, I’m not going to let her leave…not when, if it is her, she has walked back into the pack she once belonged to.
