Danika

I groaned, rubbing my eyes when I felt a hand grab my wrist.

“Don’t rub your eyes.” It was Silas.His brows furrowed as if rubbing my eyes had something to do with the end of the world.

“What… happened?” I looked at him and then Liam.

While I wasn’t sure what’s going on, the last thing I remember was what happened in the cave and then Silas arrived looking like murder.

“You were bitten.” Liam answered, sitting on the mattress beside me. He moved a few inches closer making my heart thump against my ribcage.

His eyes glowed with concern and barely-concealed anger.
