Chapter 12: Acceptance

“Nice heels!” Darren’s head popped out of the door to my room right when I was brushing my loose hair behind my back.

“You’re here… “ I tilted my head and smile gently. “I have been looking for you for over five hours now. I thought you won’t come home.” I remarked with a sad face.

I noticed his expression was soft like a baby's. There were no traces of anger or anything of the sort on his face.

“You thought wrong, Red” he chimed in and opened the door walking in. “Do you think I won’t send my little sister off??”

I shook my head. My eyes glinted with tears as I smiled through them.

“Don’t even think about crying.” He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into his chest.

“ Are you ready to meet your future Alpha?” He asked against my hair.

“Umm well.” I cleared my throat. “ I honestly don’t know Dar. I’m so scared.” I told him truthfully.

“Should we abscond?” My brother asked out of the blue and blinked his eyes innocently at me.

I laughed and slapped his chest before st
