Carla comes running through the forest to find me. She looked worried. Her eyes are wide as she crashes into my arms.

“What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know.”

“Is it Blue?”

She nods her head at me, “I think so, maybe. She told me everything about Jack. Jack was hanging around by the stream, the one that separates Black Moon from Red Moon. I should have warned her. I should have gone back to her.”

“Did you speak to him?”

She shakes her head at me. “He didn’t see me. He looked like he was on some sort of mission.”

“I need to let the others know.”

Carla comes with me as we race to the house looking for Zane and Ryan. Jaxon was blocking my link, no matter how many times I yelled at him.

“What’s wrong?” Zane asks, looking between Carla and I. “Is it Blue?”

“What is Jack up to?” I demand

Something just felt off by the way he was looking at me.

“What do you mean?” Zane mutters, not quite meeting my gaze.

“Why is Jack going after Blue? She is already mated. She is happy with Jaxon.”
