The next few days, everything was quiet. The wolves had nothing to report and even Xander had stopped sulking.

The problem was, it was too quiet. Ryan had stopped replying to my messages and no matter how much Blue tried to reassure me, I couldn’t help being concerned. Something wasn't right.

Blue sat with her legs crossed under her. Cradling the little rounded belly that had appeared on her small frame. She raises an eyebrow at me as I move back and forth.

“You’re stressing.” She mutters.

“You would be too if you were in my shoes.”

“It’s not you that your mother wants. It’s me. She wants to punish me for killing Jack.”

“Blue, how are you so calm?”

She looks down at her small bump and smiles “You should hear some of the things Anika is saying. If I wasn’t pregnant, things would be alot different. Trust me.”

“Anika would go to my mother?”

Her odd eyes flick up to mine. “I’m not going to tell you what she is saying. I don’t need you following her ideas.”
