(Backstory) : Age of annihilation
During the 19th century in the wasteland, laid the kingdom of powerful werewolves with each battling for dominance over the other, and the humans, with smitten quest to exterminate the wolf race, in fear that someday they would take over the mantle of leadership of the world as against their belief of normalcy.
Firstly, the humans were in search of the white wolves to capture for experimental purposes, after which they were slaughtered and discarded with the sense that they were unique breeds, and were very assertive. Humans worried they might one day take over the rulership of the world, thereby bringing the humans under subordination. Soon the white wolves went into extinction, leaving the humans more significant.
After the Passover of the white wolves era, came the tribe of the Salandus Adridas. They were a group of wolves that could only transform during a particular blood full moon. That wasn't the precarious thing about them. The scariest part is that once they transformed, they would be possessed by the blood Moon and would go around the world mating with as many she-wolves as they could lay their hands on, which brought about displaced children from scornful she-wolves, roaming the forest and human territories as rogues, committing mischiefs.
Soon, the humans discovered and began wiping them out, since they saw them as a nuisance going about the place and wreaking havoc__To them, it was for the sport and fun of it.
Finally, the humans became bored with no powerful group yet on ground. All of a sudden, there was a shift in the supernatural phenomenon, and two groups came into existence at once.
The Lycans, and then with them was the most complicated breed the wolf kingdom was yet to behold___The Salasa Sandus!
They were everything representing evil and good, combined in one. They were the most powerful wolves to ever work the planet and had great power propensity, more than the average wolf or any creature for that matter.
Have you seen a wolf with two personalities in one? Two wolves, mixed color, delicate weakness, and set-offs? That was the Salasa. They were as powerful as they were weak. And the only thing that could tame them, was their better half.
They only had one simple rule to keep them restrained or get them blown off; Don't ever make them feel threatened by any means, whether by emotionally or physically abusing them.
They were a very deadly and killer breed. In a heartbeat, they can have your essence in pieces, and your heart their precious delicacy, amongst others.
They were not favored by other wolves, who saw them as threats to their existence, and therefore were wary of them, making sure they had nothing to do with any child discovered to be a mixed_colored wolf (Salasa).
Then, the humans became obsessed with these creatures, and their counterparts, the Lycans. They noticed there was a certain connection between the two breeds, as most of these Salasas were mated to the Lycans. The humans weren't pleased.
Imagine two rugged breeds mating__ an immortal Lycan and a bloodhound Salasa__Destruction on standby.
The humans got to work and began assassinating the Salasas in large numbers. It was this period that was called the great annihilation period.
So many Salsa's were massacred by the humans who often used their mates to lure them into a trap and caged them in a prison, full of silver and wolfsbane for as long as a month before the effect would take place and kill them.
That was another thing. It wasn't easy to kill an average Salasa, not to mention a fully transformed one. The process of obliterating them was very brutal.
It was during this period, that the chief goddess of a clan of Salasas was murdered coldly by the headhunter himself. Before she died, she made an oath to come back under any circumstance.
The humans soon believed that the Salasas like every other extinct breed had finally gone to rest and celebrated their victory.
Many years later, Emilia was born into the family of a great Alpha in the Western pacific. She was adored due to how shrewd she was as a child, and was ahead of the other pups in terms of studies and skills for someone of her mild age.
However, her father who was aggrieved with the goddess for not blessing him with another child after Emilia had gotten angry one day after coming home from work, and finding out Emilia had gone against a delicate command of his. He had done the one thing he has never done before, he hit Emilia.
There and then, the parents who have never seen Emilia for once get angry or say any malicious term to anyone apart from her regular childish mischief, saw her transform into a monster they have never seen in their entire life.
A Salasa!
She tore her father into shreds, and right in front of her petrified mother, ate off every bit of her father's heart before she came back to herself to realize what she had just done.
Calamity in the pack!
Her mother, the Luna, was astounded. Yes, she was dissatisfied with her mate, for shouting and hitting at their priceless jewel, but seeing her daughter turn into a monster she has only read about in books, was beyond her absorption.
Yet...
She had to be a mother!
Just when she regained herself and wanted to approach her remorseful bane, to their enormous mollification, they found out they were not the only ones that had encountered the gory scene but, the Alpha's Beta had seen it all.
Then in trepidation of what he just witnessed, he threatened to tell the elders, which meant only one thing__Emilia would be executed in front of the entire pack, even though she was ten!
She just committed a sacrilege!
Just as the Beta left to blow the whistle, Emilia's mother, the Luna , had to do the only thing she knew would keep her only child safe. She sent her away that night, never to look back, with a deeply sorrowful heart.
The only order Emilia was made to obey was, "run deep into the forest, keep running and never look back! No other eyes should ever see you! You are not welcomed by our kind or any kind for that matter. If you yearn to survive and make my renunciation worth it, then run! The forest never prejudices. It would be your home henceforth and hopefully one day, there would be a place for someone like you!"
With tears gushing down her dainty young mug, Emilia had no choice but to heed her mother, and bid goodbye to the only life she has ever known, carrying the tremendous burden of being a father murderer from such a tender age.
The forest came to be her only abode and the birds, wild animals, and plants became her only companion.
It remained like this until that very bitter-sweet day...
EIGHTEEN YEARS LATER"Mama, when would Papa come back from the council?" Inquired little Emilia, a red hair green-eyed vixen, and her parent's heartthrob, being the only kid they had yet. Her little hands kneaded the piece of dough on the flat board, the swishy sound produced from the surface, gave certain satisfaction to her, as she persistently massaged the unfortunate grub, even as the dough was ready. Her mother, the quaint Luna of Blue moon crested pack, smiled and looked up from the bowl of egg she was whisking, "he would soon be back, Emy, I know you miss him""Aye, mama, I do" Emilia flipped the dough up and it landed flat on the board, the action eliciting laughter from herself and her mother. "I think it's ready now" she conceded, pointing at the helpless object of her amusement."I think it is indeed" her mother confirmed, motioning with her soiled finger at the baking pan hanging at the base of the wall," can you pass me that and also the chopper, I need to hasten with t
She kept running, her sharp green eyes scouring through the deep forest, the very distinct snapping of the twigs beneath her precise legs, leading her far from the hunters that were determined to catch her by all means. Her breaths came in pants as she stole another look behind her, her incredibly heightened senses taking note of the distance between her and the three men and a lady that had lost her like the wind. So she thought.Sighting the place she has come to call home almost close by, and not wanting them to see it, she took another course leading to the fountain by the cliff, her ears picking up the far gushing waters burrowing through the ground, and the smell of the dwellers of the blue depths, her serenity. She paused, bending over, her hand going to her chest, her heavy mass of red tresses falling over her face, to cover her vision. Flipping her spongy ridiculously long hair away from her face, she realized in a bit, that she was impressively very thirsty.Deciding hopeful
Lycanking? The question rang in her head as she thought about his query. She has heard about the Lycans when she was little from her Papa who would often come to her nursery to teach her a little part of their history every night before she closed her eyes in slumber. They were very powerful kind of wolves and were said to be immortals as averse to their kind. From what her Dad told her, they were not found among themselves the werewolves but seen to occupy territories far from theirs, and were seen as direct reincarnates of the goddess favorites. Humans once tried to exterminate them but had given up due to their large population. Why would he be asking her about the Lycans? The scrawny lad flickered two fingers on her face to bring back her awareness that seemed to have wandered "From your expression I reckon you might have something to share" he slurred, taking cognizance of her bewildered expression."Why do you think I have?" she shifted on the ground, her sizable behind starting
The palace of the Lycan King, Wales. "Your father made me promise to make sure you are of sound mind and judgment, Wales," Zane the right-hand man and Beta to the Lycan King, Mazmilan, popularly called Milan by the chits, said. They were in the great study at the palace.Milan rolled his eyes from where he was seated, his hand suspended with the snifter of ale perched in it. From his countenance, one can tell that he was massively bored of having this discussion. "Are you done, Zane?" He slurred dryly. "To be honest with you my dear friend, I need to be laid." He drawled in mischief, taking a smooth sip of his brown booze."Laid? Laid? I will dismiss your request as mere demand aimed at getting me riled up, Your highness""You know I hate when you call me that," Chirped Milan, about to lose his mind with grumpy Zane."Exactly my point. I need you to recognize that is who you are. A King! These women would only drown you, leaving you an em.....""Enough, Zane!" Milan lifted his hand,
She was still against him, her teeth deep in his neck, waiting for him to die_which was the normal thing that happened when her kind is to bite any creature, but to her dismay, she could still feel his pulse, the sound of his heartbeat and the astounding questions roaring through his head. She stopped short and lifted her head, meaning to jump off and run but immediately her head was up, Milan used the chance she was least expecting and tackled her to her back with him coming to the top. He grabbed her two hands and placed them above her head, ignoring her wide disturbed eyes or the way the action made her chemise-free bosom heft up to his face. "Who are you?" He asked with steel in his voice."Get away from me, you bloody son of a bitch!" She thrashed, almost making him lose balance. This girl is wild and if not for his powers and how strong he is, she would thrash his mouth to the floor like before. But, he would rather be throttled by his horse than a mere female. "I asked again.
Very slowly the next morning, Emilia jerked awake from the bed, her sharp blue eyes widening, and at the same time, she winced and recoiled from the sharp light that greeted her eyes. Gradually, she removed the hand she used in shielding her eyes and regarded her environment, recognizing a distinct difference between where she is now from her abode where she has settled for the past nine years of her life."What in holy..." She jostled to a kneeling position and began touring her eyes around the posh mattress she was on top of, her fingers grabbing the fluffy quilt beneath them and giving them an unbelievable tug.How did she get here? She strained her thoughts to the past event that took place in her life, already used to waking up most times in unfamiliar territories. But not one as lavish as this one. Then like a bang was smacked on her head, she gasped and fell to her butt as the face of the cherubic man she met yesterday flooded her senses. "That son of a gun!" She breathed and h
Chapter 8"Wh-what are you doing?" Emilia's raspy voice sailed to the gone King and at once, he came back and jerked away from her."Porcupine lavender...'' He easily mumbled, brushing off a lock of hair that fell across his forehead."What?" Emilia tilted her head to the side in confusion."Nothing," He waved off in dismissal, and in a sweep, he grabbed her arm and dragged her all the way in."Get your hands off me, you brute!" She snatched her hand away and staggered to regain her stance, giving him an ugly glare. "I need to leave here and there is nothing you will do about it. If you keep me against my wish, then the fate of those humans will befall everyone living in this....this..." She looked about her fancy chambers, searching for something awful to say but came up with none."Uh....hmmm," Milan's face twisted to the side in thought and draped one of his huge arms under his breast with one under his chin in feigned thought. "I will like to see you try." He stopped in front of h
Chapter 9By the time he got to them, the maid was already quivering like a stem beside Emilia, her two hands holding onto her arm as if pleading with her to save her from the oncoming wrath of her King. His huge black stallion stopped a few feet away from them, and Milan jumped down in one swift movement, and came at them in one large stride, his face a mask of death, his finger raising to point at Emilia as he glowed at the maid. "I specifically made myself clear never to bring her out to the open, servant!" He blasted, puffing smoke."I-I-I" The maid stuttered, already starting to sweat all over."If you are going to talk like that about me, you should at least have the balls to face me directly, King." The way Emilia said the King you would immediately know that it was in mere mockery.Milan rounded on her lethally. "Believe me when I tell you that I am a minute away from spanking you this minute, woman!" Emilia's eyes widened in horror at his words. No one has ever said that to h
