Darcus' POV.

I saw the way Lucinda's shoulder stiffened as soon as those claims were made and they had me wondering if they were in any way through and why had she decided to keep this away from me when I could have also been in the know.

"What are the both of you talking about?" I strolled into the interrogation room even though I wanted to know what exactly this conversation was going to lead to and from her stance, I knew I wasn't going to get a wonderful answer.

Walter burst into laughter, staring at Lucinda who looked red-faced but immediately switched her demeanor to look like she had been slighted.

"Do not mind this drunk. He is looking for ways to tarnish my image but that's not going to work. He has been bragging that you would not be able to do a thing about the issues at hand and I have told him that he is nothing but a fool. I would leave you with him to continue. I hope that you do not listen to any lies he has to say." She spoke, kissed me on the cheek and walked away
