CHAPTER 3

Darcus’s POV

“Attention, everyone.” A guy climbed the stage to announce. “We’ll be having a new entertainer joining us tonight. She’s fresh with a killer body.”

It was a chaotic mix of booing and excited hollering amongst the crowd. Good for them, at least they were having fun, one way or the other.

For me, it was almost another boring night with all those numerous whores dancing around me, not even one could excite my wolf.

He climbed down, and a second later, a girl was pushed onto the stage. Her unfocused gaze was an indication of how intoxicated she was, the confusion masking her expression was a telltale of how lost she was.

“Are you going to dance or what?!” Someone from the crowd yelled, his patience wearing thin.

Her lips slightly parted as though she wanted to say a word but couldn’t. They even quivered a little.

Fright and nerves wrinkled the space between her brows as she tried to walk…no, it was more like wobble off the stage but immediately scurried back as though she’d been forced to.

How could someone who looked so wasted still manage to appear so innocent?

And somehow, she managed to excite my wolf. She had managed to interest me. The guy was right — she did have a killer body.

“Dance, stripper!” An order came from the crowd.

She flinched at the tone and out of fear, wobbled to the stripper pole with the intention to show her moves.

Everyone stopped to watch her, even her fellow strippers were distracted by her wobbly, intoxicated, amateur dance moves.

It was laughable at best and people did laugh.

For some reason, that riled up my wolf…and me. I wanted to pummel the faces of those making fun of her.

In the process of trying to twist on the pole, our eyes met, that was when I saw hers shone with unshed tears, my chest tightened and fists curled.

She didn’t seem to want to be here but then again, she was too high on either drugs or drinks and too scared to do anything else.

She continued her dancing, swaying her tiny hips wherever she felt like. It was obvious she wasn’t a dancer, nor could she at least vibe to the music but for some reason, she was more entertaining to watch than any other she-wolf in the hall.

A smile subconsciously spread across my lips and it grew wider when I realized my wolf’s excitement was swelling by the second.

She was an Omega but my wolf didn’t care…I didn’t care as well.

“I guess we’ve found the one for us tonight,” I mumbled to myself as I continued to watch her dance.

I waved over the manager of the establishment and he came running towards me. “Who’s she?”

“I’m so sorry, sir. She’s… I know how terrible she is but please, I beg…”

“Keep her for me. Only for me.” I ordered him while pointing at her, still dancing with a gloomy vibe.

He blinked, surprise spreading his features. “S-sir, are you sure? We have many others who’ll do better.”

“It’s her I want.” I insisted, my tone rang with finality.

He nodded respectfully. “She’s all yours, sir.”

I brought all my attention back towards her, saying she’s beautiful to me was an understatement, and I wondered how she could have such a pure face when she was in a whore house.

She was interesting, that was for certain. She kept on cursing everyone in the hall despite being an omega but with the way she carried herself and her sweet raspy voice, nobody seemed to care.

My highlight of the night was when I realized how hard I was for her and I couldn’t wait for us to be alone. No, she-wolf has made my dick hard before. I waved over to the manager again and told him to end the party so we could be alone. I wanted her to myself.

She was removed from the stage and was taken to my special suite in the house. When I got into the room, I was expecting her to be excited that she landed a big shot and try to seduce me but instead, she just stared with uncertainty at me with her big blue orbs. It was obvious she didn’t know me. She’s new so she probably doesn’t know that this means she was going to get a massive payout.

A smirk appeared on my face as I unbuttoned my shirt, “A stripper who doesn’t know how to dance, what a ridiculous irony.”

“What?” She slurred, dazed.

I chuckled, finding her reaction somewhat amusing.

“Feigning ignorance, are we?” I smirked, getting on the bed and hovered on top of her, her eyes widened and I could practically hear her heartbeat racing. The atmosphere became intense in a matter of seconds, our breaths were the only that could be heard.

I couldn’t take it anymore, I was craving for that woman and I immediately clasped my lips into hers and gave her a hungry kiss which she reciprocated.

I let my hands roam free on her body as I felt and kissed them as she moaned, turning me on even more, “mmmm…ohhh”

I chuckled between her breasts before looking up, “Enjoying this, I see.”

She blushed, getting even redder than she already was.

Gone were fear and nerves, replaced by desire and lust.

I lowered my head and took one of her nipples in my mouth.

“Oh…Please,” Her breath was coming in fast, gripping my hair, arching her back.

“Princess, you are driving my nuts.” A grunt rumbled from my chest.

It was obvious she wasn’t experienced but I didn’t need that to have a good time. I knew that for the first time in a long time, I was going to have the best night tonight because of her.

Although it was a shame she was an omega, I couldn’t have her as my Luna, the elders council wouldn’t hear of it and I certainly didn’t have a case to argue with him since she was not my mate either.

I wonder how it was that this low-ranking wolf who wasn’t even my mate could excite my wolf like this?

It was truly a shame that this will be our only night together, the only time I could feel my hands on this curvy body, kiss these soft lips, fondle these breasts, and feel these sparks going through my body.

With every soft cry and needy whimper that escaped from her lips, it seemed to take me further away from reality to the point that I almost marked her because I wanted to see her again but I controlled myself.

Why couldn’t I see her again? This life had been unfair to me from the start and tonight was no different, only letting me have a taste of this sweet pleasure once in my lifetime.

Reader's POV. The hall erupted in cheers as Marcus, no longer able to wait, pulled Maddie into a fierce kiss. Laughter broke through the cheers when Maddie nearly stumbled in her excitement, but Marcus held her steady, lifting her effortlessly into his arms for a moment before setting her back down. Then Maddie turned toward the crowd. Her hands trembled as she pressed them to her stomach, but she lifted her chin bravely. “And…there is more,” she said, her voice sounding sure. “I carry life, a child. Marcus’s child. The first of the next generation of this pack.” Gasps, then roars of joy filled the hall. Marcus froze for a single heartbeat, then turned to her with eyes wide, as his breath was caught in his throat. “You… you mean…” he stammered. She nodded, tears welling. “Yes. I’m pregnant.” For once, Marcus lost his composure. With a broken laugh, Marcus swept her into his arms again, spinning her around as the pack’s cheer shook the walls. His voice crack

Reader's POV. Two weeks later. The throne hall had been rebuilt hastily. Survivors gathered, filling the air with murmurs. Some wore bandages, others bore scars. Darcus stood at the throne, as Marcus stood beside him. Lucinda entered quietly with Maddie and the twins trailing behind her. When Darcus raised a hand, the murmurs died. His voice carried across the hall. It was deep and commanding. “My people. My warriors. My family.” He paused, letting the words sink into every ear. “You have bled. You have lost. Yet still, you stand. And as long as we stand together, no force in this world can break us.” Cheers rose, echoing against the stone walls. Marcus stepped forward. “We buried our dead with honor. We will heal our wounded with care. From this day on, we rebuild stronger, wiser and most importantly, united.” Lucinda’s chest tightened as she watched them speak. Darcus lifted his chin, his eyes blazing with authority. “But we will not only heal. We will

Lucinda’s POV. As I made sure Vivian and Seth were safe in the panic room that was under the pack house, I heard the horn. The sound was so loud and for a moment, I thought the pack house was going to collapse. It only meant one thing. War had come. It was a way to inform us of the way soon, to prepare. I quickly kissed my kids and went out of the panic room to meet the pack. From the side, I could see them; the forgotten Lycan clan. They were armored in black steel, as their banners were streaked with red. Behind them, witches chanted, hands raised high, their voices carrying dark power that made the air itself shake. The earth trembled beneath their march. “Positions!” Darcus’s roar rang out like thunder. He stood at the front of the warriors, sword raised, his aura glowing with the pure force of an Alpha King. His presence was fire and command joined together. I tightened my cloak and turned to the omegas. Dozens of frightened faces looked at me, hands tr

  • The Lycan King’s Favorite Breeder   Chapter 209

Lucinda’s POV. The next day. The morning after the festival felt so heavy. It was not bright at all. Though the banners still hung across the hall and the scent of roasted meat lingered in the air, everywhere felt so weird once again. There were whispers that echoed through the corridors about Vivian being dangerous and not belonging to the pack. That annoyed me, and I wanted to shut them up but for what reason? It wouldn't change the thought that they had in their heads. I got out of bed, and went out to the kids' room to check on them. They were still sleeping. I laid beside Vivian on her bed, and just inhaled her scent and watched her sleep. As she slept, she looked so small and... peaceful. I smiled and patted her head until my eyes slowly went shut. Minutes later. Vivian hadn’t stirred when I rose. She laid curled on her bed. Still, her breathing was still soft and even. I touched her forehead, kissed her hair, and stepped from their room with a weight

Lucinda’s POV. The next day. The morning of the festival felt different. When I woke up, sunlight spilled from the curtains, which felt warm on my skin. It made me smile a little. For once, there wasn’t a sharp edge to the air. The only sounds I could hear were the sounds of drums echoing faintly from the training yard, the maids decorating the grounds with banners, and the laughter of children chasing one another outside. I sighed and slowly got off the bed. Things would make sense soon, I know it. I didn't even expect that we would be having the festival of unity anytime soon with everything that was going on in the pack. It had been Darcus’s idea. In truth, I knew why he wanted it. The pack was falling apart. The festival wasn’t just a celebration. It was a reminder that we were still here, together. It all made sense to me. The maids were so busy, so I decided to get ready by myself. I wasn't surprised to see that Darcus had left my side on the bed early. H

. Reader's POV. After the last council meeting, all of us started looking out for Killian, waiting for his attack. Lucinda didn't know why but she could feel that he was coming really soon. Later that day, Darcus decided to go round and check the patrols he sent out at every part surrounding the pack house, in the woods. He stood at the edge of the tree line while the last of the patrol checked their straps and tightened their cloaks. Darcus didn't know why but he did not like the feel of the night. He felt like something was wrong with the air. “Keep your eyes open,” he told them. His voice was low. “No fires. No singsong. Watch the ground.” Marcus fell in behind him on his left. Maddie was on his right. Both were quiet, the way soldiers are when they know a fight may come. They all moved together, waiting for whatever laid ahead. They walked for a long time. The forest closed around them. Each step was a small crack of twig. Darcus’s senses were all turned
