Sage's POV

He stared back at me after my question. I looked away quickly. It had just slipped out of my mouth. There had been no reason for asking if and so I didn't even know if he was even supposed to give me any answer at all.

“Well, of course I do. Especially when you consider that I'm a wolf myself" he gave me a look that I couldn't interpret. His tone was light though and I didn't want it to change.

So without any more weird questions I nodded, “You're definitely right. And if you've e

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    Festival Betrayal

Author's POV Dominic stared at the mirror for a second more. He hated that he felt nervous to meet her. He wondered if she would act normally again or still be cold. So many questions that he wanted answered immediately. He took a deep breath when a knock came on the door. He stood upright, walking to the door and opening it. It was Keisha, he looked ready. They would be leaving soon to get his uncle - as soon as Cyrus arrived. “We're ready sir, just came to inform you before we left" he said. Dominic nodded, he didn't want to underestimate Cyrus so his plans changed a little. “He'll be suspicious if he doesn't see my Beta with me. So you'll be coming to the fair along with us, spend at least an hour before joining our men. Send Aiden along with them" he said. Keisha's face morphed into one of confusion, “But sir, an hour means we'll have only two to retrieve and bring him back here" Dominic shrugged, “I know, I know what I said and my words haven't changed. If he's suspicious,

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    The Night Of Escape

Author's POV That evening, when Sage was sure she was alone and would be left alone by Dominic, she went to her mother's room. They needed to make a decision, especially her mother. Sage already had decided on what to do. Her mind couldn't be changed. Her mother opened the door, letting her in quickly. She gave Sage a look. “What was that entire shopping trip? I know they might have been rude and purposely acted that way towards us but Dominic? What did he do?" Sage opened her mouth to say what she had heard but suddenly she couldn't speak. Her voice felt choked up, chest tightened with pain and she couldn't breathe well for a second. She took a deep breath, "I just don't want to stay here any longer. I don't want to” Elizabeth could see that her daughter's mind was set. She could also see that something had caused it. Sage didn't want to say what it was but if she could guess, it would be something with Dominic, “Did he do something I don't know about?" She asked. Throughout her

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    An Invitation To War

Author's POV The ride back to the palace was silent, Sage didn't say a word to her mother either. Instead she stared out the window at the quickly passing by environment, eyes scanning every end. She would be gone soon, this place would be only a name to the child. Her hand fell on her slightly protruding stomach and rested there. Soon they arrived the palace again and without waiting for anyone else, she rushed into the palace. She didn't take her bags with her, the servants would bring it. Behind her, Dominic watched with unimaginable surprise. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. She had maintained this attitude the entire time. Hadn't even spared any words except very few. It frustrated him. He began to follow her but had only walked a few steps when a hand on his shoulder stopped him. He turned around to see that it was Wesley, a warning sat there, soft but present. “You shouldn't follow her. I don't know what she possibly heard but it's not a right time" he wanted Dominic

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    The Breaking Point

Sage's POV It wasn't as easy as I thought, staying away from him. At least not now with my wolf aching for him. She had tried so many times to reach out to his wolf but I held her back. Even now, “Don't you dare" I nearly shouted. “But I miss him, he's my mate. I want to talk to him" even though I could feel the betrayal, she didn't think his wolf had been the one to betray us. My refusal remained and I made sure to avoid him the entire time. My mom came up to me at a point holding a shoe, “This is for you. Why don't you see if you're going to like this. I think it might fit with that pretty pink dress of yours that you chose" her face was bright, oblivious to what was happening. Her smile and free manner was sort of contagious, “I didn't get the dress anymore" because he liked it. “It's a nice shoe though, I can't help but agree" I said as I looked closer at it. My mother looked confused but she didn't say anything to me, she simply turned around and left, leaving me alone. I wa

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    A Sudden Distance

Dominic's POV My hands tapped my lap incessantly as we made our way to the boutique they were in. I wanted to see Sage. It had been a day since I had laid my eyes on her delicate figure, and this would give me a chance to learn more about her. When the car came to a stop, I jumped down immediately. The doors were open when I was in front. All the sake associates bowed in greeting when they saw me, ushering me down the lanes to where my family was. The first person I spotted was Lily, she was choosing a dress from the hanger. There was no time for me to duck, once she saw me, she smiled and began to come closer. “You actually came. You've never come along with us you know" her voice was light. I forced a smile on my face, she wasn't the one I wanted to be talking to right now. Down the lane I found Wesley, he seemed to be busy on the phone. Beside him there was a door and I guessed that was the changing room. "Yes I came” I answered Lily absent mindedly while I scanned the store f

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    The Moment Of Decision

Sage's POV There was no denying the way my heart pounded in my chest. In a few minutes I was supposed to go outside and join the convoy to go shopping with everyone else. This included, Theresa, Lily and possibly Madam Elsie. I hated how much even as a wolf now I dreaded it. They couldn't harm me, couldn't physically torture me but already I could see the mental torture. The only thing that helped me breathe easier was the fact that my mother was coming along. At least I could stay with her. My reflection on the mirror was decent. The brown dress I wore matched the shade of my skin beautifully. It was knee length, a dress I adored surprisingly. The way it clung to my skin made me a little self conscious to the steady rising bump of my belly. I was beginning to show a little, especially if you looked closely. There was a knock on the door. It was supposed to be my mother and so I walked quickly to it. When I pushed open the door, it was Wesley standing there. His tall figure stood

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    The Letter That Woke Me

Sage's POV His presence next to me was like a soft flame inside me. Somehow I felt him, even closer to me than anyone else had ever been. I hated the way my mind searched hard for the comparison of how he made me feel - there was none. There were so many things I wanted to tell him. Like how I had
