FAZER LOGINChapter 149Author's POV Dominic glanced over at Sage before he spoke. He just needed to make sure she was comfortable first. He had cleared the table of any and all wine. Just so she didn't mistakenly ingest it. He knew of it's dangers. “This is my mate, Sage," he said to the other three people. Louis, the person who wanted to make partner, stretched his hands towards Sage, "It's a pleasure to finally meet you after hearing so much. I am Louis.” He smiled at her with what he hoped was a warm and welcoming smile. She nodded, taking his hands and quickly releasing it. “Nice to meet you" The woman stepped forward and to Sage's surprise, she pulled her into a hug. “I'm Jasmine, his wife" she gestured towards Louis after she released Sage from the hug. Sage looked at the woman closely and with a smile nodded, “It's nice to meet you as well" Jasmine wasn't done, “He's refused to conduct any meetings without your return and I have to say it was indeed a miraculous one. We're all glad
Author's POV The car ride was silent. It wasn't the uncomfortable type, in fact they both enjoyed it. Both of them sat on opposite sides of the limousine. Dominic enjoyed it because he got to stare at her for as long as he wanted. Sage shifted in her seat. She could feel Dominic's eyes on her and it made her self conscious. She fixed her dress several times, pulling it down a little to cover her thighs. A part of her wondered if he really liked how she looked. Their eyes met but just then, the car came to a stop. The first thing they both noticed was the sound outside the car. They looked to see that it was the media. All cameras had turned them and already microphones were being shoved towards the car.Sage took a deep breath of shock. She hadn't expected this at all. She looked at Dominic and back outside, panic rising in her chest. One thing she hated was the media. The questions they asked, the way they didn't respect any answers. Dominic inhaled sharply. He had tried his har
Author's POV Sage stared, mouth open in surprise. She looked at the huge room and everything in it, then back at Dominic. She didn't quite understand what exactly she was looking at. A part of her could guess but it felt like jumping into conclusion. She had to ask and so she did, “What is this?" Her voice was raised a little due to the way her heart raced in her chest. It was a combination of excitement and genuine surprise. Dominic who didn't usually smile let out a small smile, “It's your new and official room. But it isn't the only thing here. There's still more to show you" His words registered but just at the back of her mind. Already, she was entering the room fully to see for herself. The bed was bigger than anything she had been in, even her former room. She was sure it would contain four people comfortably if she wanted it to. Her hands reached for the mattress and it surprised her at how comfortable it felt. It wasn't so soft like her current one but neither was it har
Author's POV A few days agoCyrus wasn't sure what to think or do. There had been no news but he could feel in him there was something. He paced the office, eyes on the window in front of him. Something had happened, his heart skipped a beat at what it could be. Just then he heard his phone ring on his table. Cyrus didn't waste any time to rush over and pick the call. He felt his spirits raise in delight when he saw who the number was. It was exactly the person he wanted to hear from. “Tell me, is there any news?" He spat immediately, there wasn't any patience left in him. The male voice broke through the silence. “She has returned just a day ago. I saw her with my very own eyes. She does not have any injuries and there seems to be no harm done to her." It was a harsh whisper. Cyrus's heart raced a little. It was good news, despite the confusing way it came, it was still good. He knew he had to ask, his mind would be restless if he didn't. “Is she safe there? Does she seem happy
Author's POV Dominic had just sent a letter to the only historian he could trust. Jacob, an old friend to the kingdom. He owned the biggest library in the world and important documents rested in it. He even had the original copy of the greatest war that broke across the kingdoms. If anybody else knew where that document was or could be - he would. Dominic knew he was just grasping at straws. He had searched for months and had continued to do so; they had made no discoveries. There was a part of him that knew nothing would be found even here. At that very moment, he sat in the sitting room as he waited for someone important. He had called her just to confirm a few things for him. It wasn't that he didn't trust Sage but he didn't trust the people she had been with. Even as he battled so many things in his mind, he battled the one truth. The thing that he had done to her people - that was if it was ever confirmed. Maybe she didn't remember what happened but what if she did? When she r
Author's POV It had been two days since Sage's return. Dominic physically felt the air in the palace brighten up. He could note that the servants didn't cower back in fear at his mere presence. All throughout her disappearance he had experienced an explosive temper. He had also visited the garden a little more as well as the training room. His soldiers were happy with his presence. Despite all the time he spent making everything good again - like it had been before Sage's return, he hadn't spent as much time as he would like with her. It was always one person or the other spending it instead of him. His mother had begun to spend more time with her, an action that surprised both the maids and he. Whenever he went to her room, she was either sleeping and resting or her mother or his were with her. They both warned him not to stress her too much. Today he decided differently. As a mate, he had fulfilled one goal - getting her back. It didn't matter that they had brought her back them
Sage's POVSomething had changed in me. I wasn't exactly sure what and when it had happened but the hope I had before had vanished. It felt a little like magic. One minute I thought I had found my home and the next minute I wasn't so sure. There was a huge part of me that wanted to believe it was
Dominic's POV I wanted to clap, do something, anything other than just stand and watch. It was beautiful, what I had just witnessed. And it wasn't just because she was a healer and healing - it had been the way she did it and the short time with which she did it. My eyes went to the clock again,
Sage's POV Although the meeting had remained in the back of my mind, I had managed to wake up early. Despite the lingering thoughts of her. She had stayed there, tingling as if to signal me to something but there wasn't anything. The way her eyes had watched and followed me. It felt like she knew
Sage's POV I opened my eyes to the darkness. It had been a while since I had slept off, something had woken me up. I didn't know what and when I looked around there was nobody. It took me a while for my eyes to get used to the darkness. Finally, once I was accustomed, I stood up from the bed and
