KEENAThe smell of antiseptic fills my nostrils and I inhale deeply. The smell is so much cleaner and less potent than the horrible smells of the dungeon. KEENAI don't know how long I have been holding onto Ward's hand and talking to him. Nurses have come in and out of the room several times to take his vitals. Each time they give me a pitiful stare as I ask several questions about how he is doing. I am given the same answer every time. I am told that they are doing all that they can and we have to wait for his lycan to awaken so he can begin to heal correctly. Each time I am told the same answers I get more and more frustrated. WARDI am surrounded by darkness. I try to look around but I cannot see anything. The last thing I remember is collapsing on the ground with Keena in my arms. She had passed out from the smoke and I was begging her to wake up. Then a blinding light encompassed me and I can only assume that it was the flames burning against my skin as I tried to protect Keena from the fire in the Crescent Moon pack house. I must be dead.
