Anastasia’s POV

We stood just a few feet ways from the barrier that concealed my coven and my heart ran rampant in my chest. I was finally home! I would be able to see Aron again. I hugged myself, trying to hold all of my excitement inside.

“I’ll go first.” I stated.

“No. I will.” Dominiko corrected.

“Afraid that I’ll turn on you?” I asked playfully, but the look in his eyes said exactly that.

“Well, after you.” I stated, gesturing for him to move forward.

Dominiko moved forward with caution. His eyes scanned the scenery in front of him. I knew there were warriors scattered through the trees and watching him. As he continued to move forward, his head snapped in the direction of movement.

"Lycan!" Elara hissed.

She was one of the covens top warriors, known for her potent hexes. She could tag a target without looking. It was a gift from the moon goddess for her great sacrifice. Gifts like that were only given to witches who made the consecrated vow.

Anastasia’s POV I inhaled deeply as the dust cleared, and my once decaying plants revitalized, filling the air with a beautiful fragrance of hyacinth and jasmine. Once my home was cleaned, I collided all of the dust and cobwebs and buried it in my backyards garden. Everything was over grown, so I made a mental note to give it a good trim in the morning. Because our homes were made in nature, we didn’t have access to things like electricity or simple running water. We preferred it that way. I moved from room to room, lighting all of the candles and replacing the ones that were burned out. Once I was finished I walked to my bedroom, and was immediately hit with this overwhelming feeling of security. Two years of captivity felt like an eternity to me. I was forever in a constant state of fear. I never knew what day would be my last, and the last thing I expected was that I would get out. I had hoped, of course, but believing it was an entirely different story. The only thing t

Dom’s POV Tears streamed down Anastasia's face as she hugged him back. She was holding onto him so tightly. What could have happened to her? This was the second time that someone stated they thought she was dead. My blood began to boil. I just knew that had something to do with the scars she had. "I'm here, Aron. I'm here." She pulled back slightly, cupping his face in her hands. "They took me... I tried to send word, but I was detained." ‘Who took her?’ Amos chimed in, just as on edge as I was. ‘Shut up and maybe we will find out!’ I snapped. "It doesn't matter," Aron spoke, in a voice thick with emotion. He ran his hands over her arms, and shoulders, as if to assure himself she was real. You're safe now, you're home." I watched them longer. I was working very hard on suppressing Amos, and the urge to ask her who “they“ were. This wasn’t the time. I still needed to speak with the high priestess. He looked over her shoulder at me, his expression shifting from joy

Anastasia’s POV Once we reached her chambers, the doors were already open. High Priestess Sage was standing over her alter, burning intense. I immediately became overwhelmed with emotions. I missed her just as much as Aaron and the fact that I was finally in the same room as her, formed a lump in my throat. "Anastasia," she spoke calmly. "You have returned. And with… company.” I fought the urge to run to her. “Yes, High Priestess. This is-“ “The Lycan King.” She stated as she turned to face us. She paused a moment and looked between the both of us. "You do understand the gravity of your actions, Anastasia, yes?" Her voice, though it was soft, carried the weight of authority. "Bringing a Lycan into our sacred space, and defending him against your brothers and sisters..." "I do, High Priestess," I replied. "But Dominiko is not our enemy. He brought me home when he didn’t have to do that." “Do you trust him?” She asked me and I answered truthfully. “I trust

Anastasia’s POV I could feel the struggle she was going through. My own tears fell. She suffered so greatly, the cancer tainted majority of her body. She was truly a strong woman. She suffered in silence and still managed to work through it. After a few more seconds of searching, I placed my palm to her chest and began to chant an ancient healing spell. A surge of energy shot through my palm and entered her body. I could visually see the paths it took as it wrapped around her tainted organs like vines. She gasped as my magic coated her in its healing protection. I continued to work a little longer until I could no longer feel her pain and once I was finished, I opened my eyes again. She was looking at me with tears streaming down her wrinkled cheeks. Her eyes held this look of pure happiness and without warning, she reached out and embraced me. “Thank you, my Luna, thank you!” She sobbed as she held onto me. I smiled and reciprocated the hug. It felt like the kind of h

Anastasia’s POV "They… they hate wolves." I whispered. “Although that might be true, I’m not a wolf.” He looked at me, a muscle twitched in his jaw. "Their hatred is based on fear and ignorance but I intend to dispel both." "You can't just… force them to accept you," I protested, my hands clenching into fists. The idea of having him in my home felt like a violation. It was bad enough being held captive in his castle, but to bring him to the coven? It was unthinkable. Not to mention, my brother would hate this. He walked back in my direction, his towering height standing over me. He moved with a fluid grace that was both captivating and intimidating. His orange eyes locking onto mine, and I immediately softened. "I am not forcing anything, Anastasia," he said, his voice was soothing as he knelt back down in front of me. "I am offering a chance. A chance for peace and understanding. A chance to end the cycle of violence that has plagued our people for generations." His
