Anastasia’s POV

Once everything was explained and talked over, she addressed him again.

“Dominiko,” she said, her gaze holding his.

“I need to speak with Anastasia alone for a few moments. Perhaps you could discuss patrol routes with Rowan and the warriors gathered outside.” Dominiko nodded.

There was a flicker of something unreadable to me in his eyes as he glanced at me. He offered a curt bow to the High Priestess and then, turned and left. I didn’t realize how much I was leaning into his aura until it left with him, leaving me feeling half complete.

As the heavy oak door swung shut behind them, I turned to face the High Priestess. Her eyes studying me.

“Anastasia,” she began, her voice was soft and nurturing.

“Is there something you want to tell me?” I frowned, confused.

“I don’t understand.” I swallowed as I stood under her gaze.

She stepped closer, her hand reaching out to gently touch my cheek. She projected her light onto me, sending calming waves through me

Anastasia’s POV Tears welled in my eyes, blurring my vision. I made this permanent… If I had fought against my urges, then this could have still been reversible. “There has to be a way, something I could do.” “There may be ways to mitigate the bond but you will never be able to severe it fully. You are bound to him, Anastasia and he to you.” My legs felt weak, and I sank onto a nearby stool, the weight of her words crushing down on me. “But…what about other mates? What if your wrong and I have another mate?” She reached out and took my hands in hers, her touch firm and reassuring. “Yes witches can have what is called passing mates, but we all only have one true mate, Anastasia. The Fates only grant us one soul to intertwine with. You just happened to find him before any of your passing mates got to you. There will be no other for you.” Her words were like a dagger twisting in my heart. My future, the future I had always envisioned for myself, shattered into a millio

Dom’s POV He bared his teeth, and immediately got to work. He knocked a few back and tossed others. He was taunting them. In the distance, I could see the witches stepping through the barrier. ‘Keep them busy, their coming.’ I announced. He continued to swat and throw them away, waiting for the witches to join the fight. One of the wolves snagged his leg and he howled in pain. Adrenaline quickly muted the pain and he lifted the wolf and ripped him to shreds. ‘Are they coming or what?’ Amos growled. I looked towards the barrier and couldn’t believe my eyes. They were just standing there, watching. Amos continued to fight. His ability to hold back from killing them all slipping. ‘I knew it! They aren’t coming!’ Amos roared and let his rage take the lead. He tore through the wolves like they were made of cheese and whimpered in pain as another wolf ripped through his thigh. He moved with speed and precision as he made his way around further blows. Primal rage erupted like

Anastasia’s POV “Merry meet, Anastasia.” High priestess Sage greeted, both of us gripping each others forearm. “Merry meet high priestess.” “Merry meet, Dominiko.” She turned to Dominiko and did the same. I suppressed a smile. It was obvious this was all new for him. He wasn’t used to having to greet anyone. It was usually the other way around. “Dominiko,” the High Priestess began. “As you know, we’ve talked a little last night about taking steps towards peace.” Dominiko dipped his head in acknowledgment. “Have you figured out what those steps might be for you?” He asked. His entire demeanor shifted. He was every bit a king next to me. “I think a trial run is needed here. If you could prove to us that peace is exactly what you’re after, then I will reach out to the high council.” I looked between the two of them. It was clear to me that Dominiko was not happy with her word choice and I was pretty sure that high priestess was aware of it as well. “And what

Dom's POV Could I have possibly let a witch in with the humans? Witches smelled just like humans to us. That's what made this war harder. We couldn't tell the difference unless we were near them for an extended period of time. It wasn't their scent that indicated it to us but their energy. If you were skilled at detection, then you could probably spot a witch out after a few minutes. I trust Cyrus would be very thorough with his investigation. 'Alright, do what you have to. Just get her to talk.' I commanded. 'On it.' The mind like ended and Anastasia was now awake smiling up at us. She mumbled a good morning and stretched, extending both of her arms over her head with her hands balled in fists and her legs extended. Her eyes opened, recognition clearing her eyes. "Amos?" I could feel his excitement. He covered her in kisses, expelling laughter from her lips. It was the first time I had ever heard her laugh. Last night was the first time I ever seen her laugh too.

Anastasia's POV I could feel the veins of his dick filling up and that was my cue. He was almost there. I glided him back into my throat very slowly and I immediately looked up at him. He moaned loudly and bit down on his lip. Oh, goddess! I could feel my own orgasm pulling to the surface. Who would have know he would look so sexy to me like this? I needed him to cum for me. I needed to feel his seed slide down my throat. I needed it more than I ever needed anything. I started to moved back and forth on him more frantically and his hips matched my rhythm. I could feel him moving deep inside of my throat. I was so aroused that my throat relaxed completely. His grunts filled the air and it was so damn sexy how he didn't break eye contact with me. His breathing became laborious and his mouth formed in an O. That look alone was enough to send me over the edge. I moaned loudly around him as my own orgasm raked through my core, causing my eyes to flutter. I didn't even know
