58. Silver Bullet

It was a few hours later when I was sitting on the couch. I heard some commotion, and a smile formed on my face. Max was here. Finally.

I had specifically asked security to not let him in through the front gates. He would need to circle the house, swim in the ocean around the security wall, and come in through the beach. And once he made it, the security would start pelting him with bullets. He should be thankful that I had informed my team that he was coming and to not activate the smart snipers on top of the house that would shoot him dead before he could spot them. I had them installed after he left so I knew that he wasn't aware of them. My team was wary about shooting at Max - most of them knew him - but I assured them that he deserved it.

I looked outside and spotted Max dodging the bullets being pelted at him. He ran across the backyard and finally dove into the living room, breaking the glass.
