60. Morning Glory

When I got to the beach, I immediately spotted Max.

He was breathing harshly, his pupils were blood red, and the whites around his eyes had turned black. He exuded such dark energy, that I almost took a step back in revulsion. The guards were surrounding, him but Max didn't look like he was feeling cornered. He looked unbothered.

"Sinit satus sanguine festun," he hissed and extended his arms wide, almost like he was inviting everyone closer to him.

Let’s start the bloody feast.

The guards started backing away, looking wary. This was unlike anything anybody had seen or heard.

His eyes turned from scary to almost deadly when the green and blue veins under his eyes rose up to the surface. His fangs extended. They were longer and sharper than that of a normal vampire.

His features had turned sharper, almost... harsher, in a way.

Max looked like he was possessed. No. Watching him like that, I knew he was possessed. By that devil.

I focused on him and froze him in his place, walking
