“You’re sure that’s her?” Someone asks.
I’ve been dragged out of the cell, dragged to a new room, a bigger room. One with lights. And three Wolves are all focused on me as I kneel staring at the concrete floor. Trying to ignore their gazes, trying not to react.
My wrists are bound but they freed my legs. I guess I should be grateful for small mercies.
A Wolf looks at me then at the photo in his hand. “How can this be the same person?” He snaps.
“Look at her eyes. It’s the same eyes.” One of the others states.
“Well, I would if the damn bitch would look up.” Photo Guy snaps.
The other man sighs, walking over to me and grasps my face to force me to look up. I grit my teeth snapping my eyes shut, refusing to cooperate.
“Open your eyes, bitch.” He growls pinching my skin so tightly it hurts.
“It’s the same scent too.” The third Wolf states. “I’d know her scent anywhere.”
“You’re sure?” Photo Guy asks.
“Yeah. I worked with them remember. I was part of their pack for long enough.” He spits as if he had to endure something awful, as if he were a prisoner or something.
“How come she’s changed so much?” Photo Guy replies.
Scent man shrugs kneeling down as if he’s appraising me. “Maybe Silas liked her like that, all fake and plastic.” He lifts a strand of my hair up then drops it as if it’s diseased.
The other snorts.
“She’s better looking now.” Photo Guy states.
“Even I’d be tempted to fuck her now.” The other says as I grimace.
“She’s younger than I expected.” Cowboy Boots says. “Silas is what, in his forties?”
“Think fifties.” Someone says.
“Guess he likes them young, nubile.” Cowboy Boots says nudging me with his boot as I scowl.
“Get the Alphas.” Photo Guy says and I feel my gut wrench.
I shrink back, huddling into myself, letting my hair fall down over my face to conceal me further. I don’t understand why they haven’t just handed me over to Silas already, why he’s dragging this all out. Sure, he was a sadistic fuck, but he got off on physical pain more than psychological.
We hear the footsteps. The door opens and I’m breathing so quickly I can’t even take air in.
“You’re certain?” A new voice asks as the room visibly tenses.
“Yes, Alpha Aeron.” One of the Wolves replies.
The Alpha steps into the room. I can’t look up. I don’t dare. I know enough about Werewolves to know this man, this Wolf is so much worse, so much more powerful than all of the others combined. I’m shaking. I’m so close to tears though I know they will do me no good.
Wolves don’t give a shit about tears and they especially don’t give a shit about humans like me.
The Alpha moves nearer. The other Wolves move back away bowing their heads with respect and I cower even further. I’m almost doubled over now, my body right over my knees. I don’t dare look up. I don’t move.
“Show me her face.” The Alpha barks. His voice is harsh, deep and it makes my skin erupt in goosebumps.
One of the wolves moves quickly, grabbing my hair and wrenching my head back as I whimper.
“Look at me.” The Alpha orders and against my will, against all sense, I open my eyes and meet his.
It feels like the world stops. Like everything freezes.
He’s so big, so powerful. His blue eyes glare into me as if he’s staring into my very soul. He’s terrifying. Beautiful. Terrifyingly beautiful.
My blood pounds in my ears. My breath hitches and I can’t even think. My body rushes from blazing hot to freezing cold and if I didn’t know any better, I’d say I was almost aroused as if that were possible.
His eyes widen for a moment as if he’s in shock and then another person bursts into the room breaking whatever the hell is going on.
“Alpha Cain.” Someone says respectfully and my eyes switch to him. To this new person. He looks almost identical to Aeron. Same build, same face, same everything except his eyes. His are brown.
I feel the same reaction. The intense heat and chill. The same godawful tingling. The same strange lust and then my fear takes over as my mind registers who they are.
These aren’t just Alphas. They’re the Alpha Twins. I’m in so much more trouble than before I realise as my panic consumes me and I can’t breathe. I can’t think. My fear engulfs everything and as the concrete comes rushing towards me, I pass out.
***
I blink as I come around. I’m lying on the concrete. I’m in the same room as before. I can sense there’s someone else here. That I’m not alone. I don’t move. I don’t give any indication that I’m awake.
“…well this complicates things.” Someone says.
“Nothing changes.” Another man growls and I recognise his voice as the Alpha’s, as Aeron’s. “For the moment we stick to the plan.”
Someone sighs walking up to me and I shut my eyes quickly. I want them to think I’m unconscious.
“I can’t quite believe it.” The man mutters.
“Cain…” Aeron growls in warning.
The other man is right here now, kneeling over me. I can feel the heat of him. He brushes my hair from my face and as he does his fingertips brush against my skin.
A shockwave runs through me. A jolt of something indescribable. A soft moan escapes my lips before I even realise and my eyes snap open in horror. He stares back at me. Dark chocolate brown eyes meeting my hazel ones and he has the smallest discernible smirk.
“Hello Little Dove.” He murmurs so seductively I feel my body flush and it feels like I’ve climaxed I feel so damp down there.
“Eustace.” Aeron bellows behind him. I flinch throwing my arms over my head.
The door opens and Photo Guy appears. “Yes, Alpha Aeron.”
“Take her back to her cell.”
Photo Guy nods, crossing the room in quick strides and yanks me up by arm. I’m still too dazed, too weak to do anything even if I wanted to and I hang limply as if I’m little more than a doll.
“Aeron.” Cain growls.
Aeron narrows his eyes. “No one is to touch her. Understood?” He says and Eustace nods.
“Yes, Alpha Aeron.”
“And give her a decent meal. She looks half starved.” Cain says.
“Yes, Alpha Cain.” Eustace replies.
“She means well but she will get you into trouble.” Cain says as he holds my hand.I don’t say anything, I just let him lead me wherever he wishes and when we stop outside a door I don’t recognise, I frown. He opens, it holding it for me. I walk in and freeze. It’s a bedroom. Not my bedroom though. I look at Cain. He runs his eyes over me and I gulp.“This is my room, Rosalie.” He says, shutting the door.I stare at the carpet. Somehow, I didn’t see this coming. He’s standing in front of me now. He brushes my hair back, tucking it behind my ear.“You’re so beautiful.” He murmurs.I don’t respond. I don’t do anything. After the other day with Aeron, I don’t want to make Cain angry with me too.“Look at me.”I lift my eyes to his and he’s watching my face with a strange expression. He steps back, kicking his shoes off, and walks to lie down on his bed.“Come here.” He says.I shut my eyes for a moment, letting out a silent sigh, then walk over to lie beside him. He tilts his head, still
Two days later, I’m in the Kitchens. I’m meant to be with Aeron again, but I guess he doesn’t want to see me today. I must have really angered him.Because I have nothing else to do, I’m baking some pastries. They’re pretty easy. I know the recipe off by heart and as I roll the pistachio and honey in between sheets, I can see even Dylan liking his lips.“Would you like some? I need a taster.” I say.He shakes his head. “Chances are you’ve poisoned them.” He states and I laugh.“Here, look.” I say picking one up and eating it to prove they’re edible.“Laced it with wolfsbane no doubt.” He says and we both laugh.“I’ll take one if Dylan’s too stubborn.” A woman says and I half jump at the sound.“Layla.” Dylan says, with a distinct tone to his voice.“Dylan.” She replies, with a smirk before she looks at me.“You must be the human.” She says.“Yes.” I reply hesitantly.“I hear my brothers have been more than a little preoccupied with you.” She says running her eyes over me and I frown.
I spend the next day with Aeron. Apparently, they really are taking it in turns.Dylan makes sure I’m up early and fed and then he takes me through to what I can only assume is the actual Pack House and to Aeron’s office.I’m wearing some leggings and a jumper that I suspect belongs to him. It certainly smells like him.I sit there, in the corner trying not to distract him while he works. He doesn’t look at me. He doesn’t acknowledge me. He barely glanced at me when I walked in. I don’t really get why I’m even here but I don’t say anything I just sit, quiet, obedient, waiting for when he decides to grace me with his attention.I’ve had years of pretending I don’t exist, of daydreaming, of mentally entertaining myself while god knows what is going on around me, so the hours pass by in relatively quick succession.A Wolf knocks on the door and walks in. He looks over at me curiously and Aeron growls at him. His eyes quickly flash back to the Alpha.“Do you have the plans?” Aeron asks.T
Dylan escorts me down to the Kitchens an hour later by which point I’m actually ravenous. He points out the fruit bowl that is more than obvious and lets me know where the cereals and plates are.“Can I cook something?” I ask and he shrugs. He’s clearly in a huff this morning.I take it as a yes and start searching for a pan as well as all the ingredients and start cooking before he can say anything more.“Do you want some?” I ask when I’ve finished pilling it all onto a plate. I always make too much but, with French toast, it’s hard not to.“Are you trying to bribe me with food girl?” He asks.I smirk. “I guess it depends on the quality of the food.” I state and he snorts. He picks up a slice eyeing it with suspicion and then bites into it. His eyes widen just a little and then he wolfs the rest down. “Not bad.” He mutters and I laugh.“Liar.” I mutter under my breath. He throws me a look because obviously he’s heard me and I make a point of ignoring him by pouring maple syrup onto m
I wake in the morning, and I swear I’ve never slept better in my life. The duvet is so snug around me and for a moment, I could believe I’m actually happy.I mean, sure I dreamt about them again. The god damn Alphas and the things my mind imagined them doing to me is enough to make me blush. It feels like my skin is tingling, like they were actually here, all night, with their mouths caressing me and their hands touching every inch of my flesh.Jesus Rosalie, get a grip. I think.I roll over and my eyes lock with his. Cain’s. I let out a shriek and he chuckles.“Morning beautiful.” He says.I move so quickly yanking the duvet up and pushing myself against the headboard. I’m suddenly now very aware that those dreams have absolutely coated my thighs. I’m a mess. Again. He watches me almost lazily. He’s fully dressed, in a tight t-shirt and black jeans, laying on the bed as if everything about this is perfectly normal Alpha behaviour. “I was thinking we should watch a movie.” He says.“W
Cain was right, I do need a bath. I need to wash. To scrub myself. To get the stench of the last few days off me and try to get some semblance of control over what the hell I’m doing.I walk into the bathroom and thank god there’s a lock on the door. I throw off my clothes, Aeron’s and Cain’s clothes technically, and while the bath is filling I get in the shower and let it wash away the residual dirt. The water that comes off is literally black with dirt and I wonder how disgusting I must seem to these people, these Wolves.I brush my hair, easing out the knots at first and eventually just get so frustrated I grab it all up and almost hack at it with the brush in my annoyance to fix it. If there were a pair of scissors nearby I’d be tempted to actually cut it off but there’s nothing. No sharp objects. Nothing that could do me harm or anyone else for that matter.I guess in this moment I should be grateful that Silas had my entire body lasered so I don’t have any body hair because ther
